Granny: By the end of next week. Although i'd have to think about taking it, as im swapping retail for retail and i want to get out of retail! Also i had a meeting with my store manager and he agreed to my idea of organising an external wedding fair for next spring. That would be quite good to have on my cv im thinking. Then there is the foot operation im still waiting on, and the fact i have four weeks holiday to take, but it all depends. I suppose in some ways im hoping its a no to take that decision away from me!0

Thanks for the comments gys, going to start hittimg the gym hard to look amazing in that dress!!
Got two new recipe books today - one is a Slimming world 'world of flavours' book which has italian, french, mexican recipes in, all very low fat and healthy tho. The other is Jamie's America, which has some amazing recipes in that i will be mostly using for inspiration rather than copying word for word, ie. cutting out all the oil/fat he uses!!
Vix, hope you hear good news re. the interview soon.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

What a lovely day its been today! So glorious and i didnt need a coat
I did however have a fattening lunch followed by a harvester meal. So all in all poor food wise, but tomorrow i have alot of sorting out to do at home so hopefully that will go towards the fat burn.
Betty: I have the jamie one, its pretty good! I love a good recipe.
My mum just spotted a bit in the you magazine about being lactose intolerant. www.lactofree.co.uk I think i might try to eliminate all of it as it suggests for two weeks and see how i feel. Starting from tuesday because i need to buy the lactofree real milk (which sounds better than soya) Cant believe lactose is in crisps!0 -
hi sticking my head round the door to see how everybody is though i probably should hang it in shame! had blow out yesterday but it was my anniversary however did go round the loch today again with the mad spaniel even although it wasnt the best of days.

LOL vix, there is lactose in lots of things!! For a sweet treat jaffa cakes used to be milk free, dunno if they still are or not. Lactofree is one of the milks that my son likes the taste of. Swedish Glace icecream is pretty nice too, although a wee bit too sweet. I believe the flavoured ones are better than the vanilla. The only other kind of sweets I can think of without going to health shops are like jelly tots, wine gums and liquorice allsorts. Not that I'm encouraging you to eat sweet things but sometimes we all need a wee bit of a treat
I tried to cook with one of the cheese substitutes at one point, I wouldn't recommend it, unless they have dramatically improved over the years, ended up like glue stuck to the bottom of the pot!!! Cooking with the lactofree is just as easy as with real milk, tend to use it for sauces to go with fish or chicken for my wee lactofree man. Good Luck with it hon!!!!
Not had a good weekend here, back on early shift and crisps are my best friend again. Although have been going for the healthier option of snackajacks as opposed to crisps, but that's only because the machine is broken at work and won't let me select anything else :rotfl: My x bought the kids a popcorn machine too and been munching on that along with my few wee drinks on sat night.
Just can't get my motivation going atm, maybe the thought of winter coming is making me wanna eat more too, I dunno but I'm constantly wanting to graze!4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
This is defo going to be harder than i first thought. What am i going to spread on my toast? i cant have a sandwhich without crisps so that rules out having a sandwhich for lunch.. Its like carbs, i'd love to eliminate carbs by half but i cant eat meat without a carb with it, else i just wont eat the meat. I always have to have something with something in order for me to eat either of it. Tough!!
Still, instead of eliminating it completely i think im going to have to just do some heavy cutting out of it!
Another glorious day!! I took my guinea pig outside for a walk around the garden, it was divine. (untill the 14 sunbathing pigeons decided to fly off and spook him) Have a nice day everyone!0 -

Hehe they are going very well thanks!!I am trying to do a few before bed every night!
I am very pleased with myself for getting up at 7.30am today and hitting the gym! Cycled there and back too, so v pleased with the exercisey start to my day!<--smug smilie!!
I'm going to try to go 2-3 times per week (to get my money's worth!) and mix it up a bit - one day swim, one day gym, one day doa class, so i dont get bored. Have realised that the only time I ever lost weght - and it was noticeable - was when i did exercise. So fingers crossed it will have the same effect this time. I am giving myself 2 months to see how well I can do (mini target) so fingers crossed I'll look slim in that dress and over xmas!
Also feeling really inspried about cooking now since getting my new recipe books - I'm going to have the haveos rancheros (can't spell it - toms and egg!) for brekkie, SW-style (no oil/fat, but with extra mushrooms!) Yuuum!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Aww cute image of you trotting round the garden with a guinea pig - i love those lil guys!
I think some crisps dont have lactose in - my friend is lactose intolerant and he used to have asda smart price crisps.
Or you could make your own - thinkly slice a potato with a peeler, sprinkle on some salt and microwave or bake in the oven till crispy! Or could you have some HM popcorn instead? Flavoured with paprika, or salt, or honey???
Can you spread Jam, honey or marmalade on your toast??
Otherwise there is a nice soya spread that you can get - i had it a few years ago when I had to cut out all fat and dairy coz of suspected IBS.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

I'm really struggling this week. TOTM is knocking on the door, and don't I know it. I feel like a possessed munching monster. We ate out on Saturday night, at a restaurant of our friends' choice, and it was Chinese. I think there must have been a huge amount of msg in it, because I was wide awake still at gone 2am, for no apparent reason. I've never noticed the effects of msg before, but a couple of my friends have mentioned it before. The food did taste rather salty I thought, but presumed it was soy sauce.
No Sunday roast this week, or bacon sandwich, to combat the calories at the meal (even if I didn't eat loads, and tried to have smaller portions). Yesterday I just wanted to eat and eat. I think the late night was catching up with me too, as being tired makes me hungry. Trying to persevere, but the chocolate cravings are kicking in. *must not eat the Christmas chocolate stash!*
Keep at it Southern Stunners, I'm trying to desperately remember the team when I'm tempted! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
