Miserable STS for me this week, could have been worse I suppose
BB - thank you for the kick up the jacksy, I know that I've been cheating but sometimes life just gets in the way of your good intentions (something about the road to hell being paved with them?). I'm going to carry on with SW mostly at the moment cos I paid for 3 months online subscription and I dont want to be £60 down with nothing to show for it. I'm also going ot invest in some proper scales this week with body fat measures etc so I can count fractions of a pound and not just whole ones. I saw some Salter ones in Sainsbugs for £20-ish so will check out the reviews via Which etc, apart from taking another look at eric's recommendation of course1:cool:
Sary - big hugs hun :grouphug: Cant imagine what you're going through but you sound strong to me; if either of my two did that I would be in pieces, I dont know how you cope.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

good luck with your consultation victory, I hope all goes well.
fredsnail as discssed please just put me down as a sts this week as I am refusing to touch my scales till next week.
As for the 5lb per month, I think it would be ok to have how much left to go on the chart since then we can see how far off the target we are. I dont mind knowing that at the end of the month I'm 1lb short of the target as it will push me to overachieve next month hopefully. I don't know how everyone else feels about that though, just my 2p's worth.:) thanks for checking and for doing the chart every week.
Well done all the fantastic losers this week - some great results eric, melvis, alona, stebiz and everyone else (sorry if I left you out!)
Hezza dont beat yourself up just start again today and spend some time rooting through the SW site for ideas and meal plans to help you (or do what I do and steal people's mealplan ideas from minimins and the SW board!)
Put some funny cellulite-busting patches on my legs today. found them at the back of my cupboard so must have bought them in a fit of desperation once then forgetten about them! Feels all tingly and weird!!
Right now off to work - am going to be super busy for the next month so hopefully I wont have time to eat!!!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

A question for those considering the 5lb challenge this month or next month.
I'm adding an extra column to the chart for you.
Do you want it to show how many lbs you need to lose to achieve the months 5lb challenge (and a message telling you that you've reached the target when you've lost 5lb in one month), or just the message telling you that you've reached the target.
I'm asking because if you've signed up to the 5lb challenge and are not having a good month I don't know if people would feel more pressured by it being highlighted? Alternatively people may feel motivated by knowing how many lbs left until they reach the target>
I will go with the majority feeling.

Thanks for the kind comments re. my son. He's walked past the house today, but not stopped by. We did have a phonecall from our local council offices though, to say he'd turned up there saying he was homeless, and asking if that was the case, to which we replied honestly that he wasn't, he just didn't want to be grounded. I did try to tell him about this last week, when he said he wanted to go, and he seemed to think he was going to get housed, with about £80 p/w disposable income! I've decided he needs to learn his own lessons now, because despite me being rather worldly wise, he never believes what I say, so it needs to come from someone else now.
BB my 18 y/o isn't going to uni this year, because I talked him out of going last year - thankfully! He has totally changed his mind on the course he wants to do anyway, and has decided to do a 2 yr BTEC to qualify him to go onto a Masters engineering course in 2 years' time, although with the current economic climate, and tuition fees going up, he's also mentioned looking into an apprenticeship instead, and not getting into a huge load of debt. If he stays with his current girlfriend, and they both go to uni, they'd be looking at about £80k of debt before they'd started work. That's not a good way to be embarking on adult life. With the average 1st time buyer being 37 years old last year, it's a very different world out there to the one we grew up in.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
