Do they still do experiments with bunsen burners?
Then, you should worry................:rotfl:Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

I forgot to say. My lemon balm plant is growing great guns now, after the initial attacks from sc's, ( i shouldn't have mentioned this.)
Haven't tried a cup of tea yet.
Swapshop? Lemon grass for lemon balm?

I've never grown lemon balm! This is my 2nd attempt at lemon grass (forgot to water the previous one ;() so if I can get it to a decent size, of course you can have some.
DD used some of the mint today so it's no longer theoretical and ornamental! Feta and mint with breadcrumbs baked on fried aubergine slices. Yummy. Love English food...Miggy

Back to earth with a bang (that would be the piano practice) and a certain amount of useful stuff like washing done.
Topped up my phone with £10 and did a small amount of food shopping but other than that nothing to note.Miggy

Your DS sounds like me...:D
It's the sort of thing I'd have done in my teens...I used to stick pins in my knees to see what would happen.

Sent an email round explaining stuff. Didn't send it to you M - hope you not mind...

You have just reminded me I need to look at my emails.
Were you one of those people who made rockets out of 2 litre bottles of cheap Cola?
I must admit I encouraged 'science' by providing film canisters, bicarb and vinegar and saying 'Only if you're out of doors or in the bathroom'! I wonder if this is why DS1 is showing signs of becoming a decorator?
I used to take watches apart because the insides fascinated me, but I didn't think I ever completely disassembled one, which is just as well as I'm not good at putting back together.Miggy

Piano lesson was (for me) quite successful! Mozart is no longer turning in his grave... apart from the sight reading being in G so I managed to forget a lot of the B flats in the main piece... don't ask me how, they aren't difficult and that wasn't the problem before.
I have potted up some perennial sweet peas, had chats with the neighbours and made myself some coffee. The washing is on and the kitchen smells enchantingly of real coffee and eucalyptus oil. An unusual mixture, granted, but as there are yellowed leaves blown to the floor () it sort of has a feeling of rightness about it. Maybe the yellowed leaves are an illusion?
I have to visit Mum this afternoon: feeling a bit nervous, but that's mainly Pavlovian. DS1 visited her last week and all was well (though I never trust other people to 'read' her as well as I do - mind you I am trying hard to train myself to realise that disaster is not always looming). We had two phone calls: one was a run-of-the-mill safeguarding: they found a big bruise and she can't remember how she got it. She does bruise easily though and her Mum was the same. I'm not suspecting any wrongdoing, just pleased they both noticed and reported it. the other was last night to say she had been quiet all day and they thought she was worrying because she knew I was back but I hadn't appeared, so I explained I had left her a note to say I'd be in on Tuesday. Anyway they went to tell her all is well, but I think I may be in for 'I thought you'd had an accident'. I don't see what else I could have done though - I'd discussed it and written it all out and it's part of her condition that she forgets.
Jobs for today:
Clean wheelie bin.
Tidy lounge
[STRIKE]more laundry [/STRIKE] Not done, too rainy
[STRIKE]Plant up last 2 of the sweet peas[/STRIKE]
do some paperwork
[STRIKE]phone podiatry[/STRIKE]
I'm feeling a bit dizzy, too. Don't know what that's about but I dare say I'll get over it.Miggy
