Two bags of 'stuff' de-cluttered, a small amount spent on food, Mum visited briefly (I was short of time anyway but she thinks she has a tummy bug, and if it is and I catch it, I can't work, so I was only there about ten minutes. I did make sure the staff knew though).
Why, when I'm trying to eat healthily, does someone give us Philadelphia cheese? I had some on broccoli for tea.
All the BP are out. DS2 says he's at a gig of some sort at the football club and may be back at midnight. I'm not waiting up so he'd better be all right. I think he will. I gave him a fiver towards it as he doesn't have much cash and he does need to be out and about more. He's gained weight.I know that will probably go once school starts but it's best not being there in the first place.
Oh, and I've not only remembered a repeat prescription, I've booked my next blood test. I'm supposed to have one a year and it's due soon. Go me!
I didn't get any curtains washed so that won't happen till next week now. I suppose it's not urgent.
And lastly - I've wombled 14p. Not sure what to blow that on.Miggy

Hi Miggy,
Very pleased to hear your dizziness is easily rectified. I say easily, I know how hard I find it to constantly drink water, but definitely feel the negative effects of it if i don't.
You're sounding very organised again. I hope your Mum is ok.
A whole 14p??? That's your weekend set!!!!0 -
Thank you Muffy, I'm pretty sure mum will be okay though as you may have noticed I tend to assume there's always a crisis!
I''m not good at cold drinks and don't like tea, so I have too much coffee, eked out with the occasional hot water. Must try harder!
Organised... well thank you! Alas there is another side to things.Never mind, progress is being made.
Tonight's progress was supposed to consist of a walk to the cardboard recycling followed by a raid on the last-minute supermarket reductions. Part one was a farce as it turned out they didn't have any cardboard recycling facilities, so guess who was wandering round the shop with a bag of squashed cardboard boxes on her arm?A friendly member of staff commented! That gave me the chance to put the point about no cardboard recycling and lead to a conversation about the pressure and expectation to consume.
Talking of consuming: I spent 85p and for that I got 2 packs of mince, a bag of iced buns, Naan breads and pak choi! A saving of er... £6.58.Miggy

I'm not good at hot drinks, except eg.:D Morries have Robbies cordial on offer, at the mo, 50p for a litre. I bought some orange and mango and strawberries and cream, yesterday.I just know i shouldn't have spent the money. £10 on a food shop. I know i'll live to regret it.

No you won't.
Strawberries and cream, hey? I've never come across that one. I love anything with mango in.
Well, the sun hasn't appeared today but it still feels warm. I woke up annoyingly early but managed to get back to sleep so I should be okay for work later.
Nearly two pints of water and a coffee... still a bit dizzy. Perhaps it takes a while for the water to percolate through? Am I becoming an aquifer?
Clean and shiny bathroom, hole in slippers mended (MS!), other than that not a lot done so far. DD must have come in before work because the remains of the paella has disappeared, DS1 has washed two cars and his bedding, DS2 has just got up.
I am thinking about tackling a few more weeds.Miggy

Looks as though I'm going to be in the minority who haven't tried the strawberries and cream drink? Maybe I had better head down to Morries?
2 pts of water and 3 coffees later I am still a bit dizzy.Probably too much computer time...
I've done some piano and sorted some newspapers to go. Not much of a dent in the chaos but better than nothing. There seem to be loads of Mum's magazines and I only picked up two before I found anxiety creeping in. Only in a small way though. The mags that came while we were on holiday are now in the bag to go to her and I've made some labels to go on the ones I've been lent. This is an odd system: she feels I really need them and it's easier to accept, stick a label on to say I've read it and return it than to go through the long difficult rigmarole of refusal. She also doesn't remember what she's read so returning a magazine gives her something 'fresh' to look at!
The difficulty now is that the magazines are piling up in her room. I've offered to donate them to the waiting room, but when she looks through them to see what she's read, she doesn't remember so nothing feels as though it's been finished with!
...anyway... another bag of newspapers is now gone. All offspring home and at very different points in their respective days. DS1 is approaching the run-up to a night on the tiles. DD has finished 8 or 9 hours at work. DS2 is just about to get dressed!

I thought about saving up for a keyboard or a piano now like the bedroom is completely different but I think I'll need that space for like OU stuff when it really kicks in so am refraining...
Late lunch but boy it was fine though it did repeat on me. And I found £10 in purse so am hoping (desperately hoping) to get cheap stuff (Mr. S micro meals and reduced veggies) on Tuesday then like make £20 last a whole week's housekeeping....
Anyhow had a good time. Then that'll be like an extra £10 on OD or towards SB e-cig on tuesday...

Hey ho, hey ho, it's off to work I go!
First time in about three weeks, so I will try my hardest to get there a bit early and get a decent handover though that will depend on who's going off shift. Still, if I get someone thorough doing the sleep-in, it will be okay.
And then... I daresay it will all be as if I'd never been away, and I have to admit I have had a few thoughts about finding somewhere else. It's not so bad now: not really bad at all so long as I stay on nights, keep my head down and work conscientiously, but what sort of a life is that?
The house and garden are a little bit neater (not so's anyone would notice) and dinner is bought for tomorrow... progress made.
See you all tomorrow afternoon or maybe even first thing in the morning if I'm still lucid!
P.S. Will stop at Mr T's for overnight food and maybe bargains on the way to work!
ETA: 3 pints of water and three coffees so far.I am going to have great skin even if I am dizzy.

Same here, especially those hugely expensive, ice mango thingamabobber things you can purchase from cc and sb, ( by taking out a second mortgage.) Gawd, i haven't had one of those for years.Well, the sun hasn't appeared today but it still feels warm.
