Nothing of great interest happening here: the Jedi got home safely - apparently most of his friends went as cowboys - then today has been fairly full but not strenuous. Church in the morning, out to see a "Wartime" event later, then home for dinner with DS1's g/f via a spot of gardening and followed by three hours at work.
The only MSE elements were not spending £95 on vintage shoes this afternoon (gorgeous but most definitely unnecessary!) and clearing a food cupboard so I know what's in it. A couple of vile potatoes have gone in the compost, and some soggy crackers have been given to the birds, but other than that I've found remnants of cake (now eaten!), some potatoes and onion which I can probably use tomorrow, and oodles of tins, so we won't need to get much tinned stuff this week. That's as well as flour, sugar and dishwasher tablets are all running out at the same time.
Talking of flour, DD gave me a friendship cake mix recently so one way or another my kitchen is being overtaken. I want to get cherries and chopped pineapple some time soon to make up a couple of cakes from it. They will have to go in the freezer, so we will have to use up stuff from there too. Oh dear, that means I will have to plan...Miggy

Plenty to be done today and I have hardly started!
First load of washing in and some pairs of socks reassembled: well, that's something.
There is far too much ironing waiting to be done, a smell of damp in the dining room to be investigated, gardening to do now the green bins have been collected and I no longer have the excuse of no more space, Mum to visit and stuff to prep for the home group tonight.
Shall I just go back to bed?
I will come back later in an effort to be accountable and get something done, even if I don't manage all of everything (which I won't).Miggy

Hi Miggy,
Your list of jobs sounds a little daunting to me so good luck if you got any done. Hopefully you've taken a deep breath and battled it all so that you have a nicer to do list for tomorrow. x0 -
Thanks Muffy!
I've got as far as the gardening: made inroads and decided I need to give it a break, have some coffee, bundle unsorted laundry out of sight and visit Mum... so that's me sorted till after tea.Miggy

Glad you managed some gardening - all this rain has made things appear like triffids. I've managed some basic clearing. Sticky Willie at least 10 foot long wound round lupins is not a good look!:cool:Never pass a chance to say you care to those in your life as we are not promised a tomorrow0

Oh I don't know, Flaxseed - stick a few plant labels in and some artificial flowers and you might start a trend!
So... ironing? not done. Gardening? Started. Damp? Uninvestigated. Mum? Visited? Study? Mislaid .
However there is toad in the hole in the oven, coffee by the computer and still an hour and half to find the missing study, so all is not lost, even if part of me is saying Why oh why did I let them study Revelation?Miggy

:rotfl: re Revelation...
Had a good day out even though spent half of it unwell and like being chatted up by a ne'er do well and he just wouldn't leave me. Kept saying where do you want to go now? When I said I needed a coffee....just said 'McDonald's' - hardly nice. Said the other places were too expensive. Like 'Hello - this is my day out!!! I know how much coffee costs in C* etc.
Though having said that with P* only having pink, white or black socks I managed to stick to budgetwhich was good though didn't feel happy looking for nightwear with him and he kept talking about hot pants and short skirts and like black tights (they had to be black LOL)
So yeah...stuck to budget but whacked now LOL
Maybe I'll get some more sleep tonight - who knows. Was lovely and sunny in D* but roasting and I had full layers on LOL....

Glad you got your day out Erme - sorry about the companion but hey! I suppose he stopped you spending. :rotfl::rotfl: re Revelation...
I would imagine you know what I mean!
Still, I found the study, did some prep and actually we had a good discussion. I'm on a training day today so nothing exciting apart from the need to avoid buying sandwiches for lunch. As I live near the training place I will have the excuse that I'm going home to put the washing on the line! While here I will make a southern fried chicken sandwich which is in fact very MS because I bought three packets of if the other day at 40p each instead of £2 - saving £4.80.It makes lovely sandwiches too.
