It's actually a cunning plan to ensure no one sees I have only managed to lose a very little weight.

Good news this morning: Mum's care home rang to say a health concern is responding to treatment. That's a relief as if it hadn't it could have meant something serious.

DD and DS2 are in their last exams this morning and I need to make the most of computer time while I have it (sharing with DS2) then go and tackle the garden.

Kids have survived exams - DS as usual very laid back and drat it he will probably pass and never take on board he would have done better to put more work in. :rotfl: DD coming down with something and seems to have put some good stuff into her exam though she realised afterwards there was an important item missing from one of her essays.

As for me - curried parsnip soup for lunch which is supposed to be healthy. Currently breathing fire... not sure that was the desired effect.

Garden still untackled.

In fact, everything is struggling thanks to slimey critters. They are the most well fed slimey critters, in town. :mad:

Och I got my loan paid off yesterday Miggy

So now £500 to go (just under) in 4 weeks....can I do it? yes I can..then I'll be debt free (but no money for another 2 weeks after that...reality is most bills are coming out week one and two )

And I start the OU in October

Ani, sorry to report I haven't spent ALL the time in the garden: had an end-of-exams coffee with DD but have since run out of space in the green wheelie bin due to chopping back a shrub that wasn't even on the invading species list.

Slimey things: if you can get rid of them all for a couple of evenings - by whatever means - you are likely to be okay in that area for a while. Choose your area and get slug-chucking - that noble old Yorkshire pass-time. I have lost a couple of tomatoes to the pests but I still have some to spare.

Best time to find slugs and snails is late evening. This is also a good time for the neighbours not to notice flying molluscs, though if you wait to Friday or Saturday night it may just make them change their drinking habits.

Oh no! to the sunflower. RIP. I googled 'death of a sunflower' (as one does) and came up with 9,540,000 results so there's obviously a big problem out there.

That's what I did with my signature miggy too...Cos debt free date was supposed to be 2/3 into April - then it got put to end of May now it's mid july :rotfl:

So rather than be embarassed with the F worshippers on the FL board (no I am not cursing LOL - just don't want this to come up in search on the forums) and after all the row's I'd had with Queen Bee on the SS thread I thought I'd change it
