Not much MS to report today except that I put 7p's worth of points on my clubcard and still have about 30p's worth to add, and I bought 2 bags of oranges, originally £2 each, now 22p each which makes... er... £3.56 saved. :)

So that was a actually a noteworthy MS day after all. :)

...and DS is safely back from NY with hundreds of photos, and I have a present from Macy's!

I wasn't expecting one, but it's lovely to get it nonetheless (a makeup bag-type thingy with the logo on).

I've emailed the pension fund for details of AVCs - a day before the final date and after DH and I searched unsuccessfully for the letter I was sent a couple of weeks ago!

DH says he and I need to sit down and sort through all the paperwork I've accumulated! I think it has grown in such a way he hadn't registered what it all is.

    Onward and upward. :)

If i were in the position, i'd definitely be looking at avc's. Make the most of it whilst you can, if you're in that position. Think of the tax benefits, too.

I haven't heard anything from the pension people and it's likely I'll miss the cut-off date now. Still, worth a try.

I've had a few bargains: two bags of oranges reduced to 22p each from £2 each, two yogurts at 18p instead of 50p, three lots of £2.50 sandwiches for 90p in total and a couple of sticky buns reduced to 8p each, which had been something silly like 60p. :) Also bread rolls down to 16p from 65p.

I've also replaced some repulsive tea towels which no longer looked clean no matter what we did to them - the new ones were £1.50 instead of £3 and are nice and cheerful to boot.

Work again tonight then three hours tomorrow evening and that's it for a few days.
