Hi Erme, good to hear from you again, and I'm glad you're feeling better. :)

Taking your message in all the wrong order - I don't know any sources of cheap boxes unless you know anyone who buys from Approved Food? Their boxes are big and strong. Other than that of course try supermarkets, but in either case you would probably need more than you'd get from one place.

I'd weigh up very carefully about possibly moving if it means you might lose the consultant. He sounds something special! How likey is it you would get someone else?

On the other hand a 2-bed place by the river could be very tempting. :) What do your friends think? And would you have any difficulty getting to your church(es), friends and other things that matter to you?

Changed my mind about the place by the river. Was walking through town yesterday and some poor ladies looked funny at me. Remembered that some woman killed her kids in that area a while back. She looks the spitting image of me and I often get mistaken for her. Home is home. I'm staying put :A

And what are you interested in at the OU? Tell all! :D I love the idea of further study, so long as it's not the stuff my work wants me to get done. ;)

    ETA: Sorry so many questions!

Och it's just a short course. 13 weeks. From october onwards. 3 essays. Should be fun :)

Got bargains yesterday (just been chasing an MP4 player I can't afford. Hope it works. Only £10 from ebay. MP3 player died the other day. Phone not enough battery :(). Got an cross body organiser bag from the discount shop (leather) with flap in espresso for £30 and also a KJV calfskin leather cross ref bible for £2.99. Worth about £35 :A

Perhaps it's for the better that you stay put then. :)

Wow that Bible was a bargain! And the bag sounds great (useful for keeping the Bible in good condition ;)). Hope the MP3 player works out. I have one but never really got into it - I need to keep instructions where I can fall over them instead of filing them in obscure places (like under the bed or in the sock drawer).

A busy few days one way or another. Got paid, which is nice, though I have to check the banking some time soon.

The work on Mum's house has finished though there's more to come.

I decided to get more exercise by running - mad dogs and English women 9this one anyway) run in the midday sun. It was the only chance I could be sure of getting that day. Anyway I managed a bit of jogging but somehow did something to a muscle and the next day's run made it worse, then today I was barefoot and caught my toe on a door sill. Black bruise and a bit puffy, plus very painful if bent downwards, so I'm wondering if I've cracked it. I can walk on it though, and it's got a sticking plaster to support it.

Yesterday after a run in the morning I went on a rally and march in support of keeping the baby care unit at the hospital. There were hundreds there - I couldn't judge how many but one report said 3,000. There was never a point where I could see all the crowd.

In the evening I went to visit Mum and we watched Dad's Army - quite glad about that as she forgets to put her TV on and would have missed it otherwise. As it was, she enjoyed it and even though the subtitles weren't brilliant, she followed it very well. I left her watching the Chelsea Flower show (with rubbish subtitles - the software for them is thoroughly inadequate, though it can be funny: I seem to remember the titles for the Boat Race once involved a goat).

Today: church this morning with a speaker from All India Mission, then DS1 did us all a BBQ in the afternoon which was lovely, and work this evening.

That's it to date: work for four nights this coming week and DS2 and DD have exams, then DS1 is off on hols at the end of the week.

    Nothing particular money-wise recently.

LOL Muffy, nice to see you! Sorry I can't hang around (off to work), the turtle is probably on its holibobs, it doesn't look like a native species. I have made some Earl grey for it.

I have just paid Mum's builder for completed work, phew. Have it in writing it's guaranteed. :)

I am sure I was going to say something else but I can't think what.

*Wanders off, whistling*... Weee are the boys who will stop your little game...

P.S. Kettle is full, milk in fridge, virtual scones in the tin, help yourselves while I'm out. :)

You would have been proud of me yesterday, miggy. I went to church and lit a candle. Unfortunately i sinned, as i was unable to donate the suggested amount into the collection box. Can't get away from having to pay for anything, can you?
