Well in the bath or just a mug of hot water and on the pillow

If you want something during the day try lavender oil (if you're allergic to it) on glands; nose etc......I did that when getting over the mega flu a few years ago and it really helped (though I stunk of lavender)

I've got lavender oil as well... this house is going to smell amazing tonight! :D

Erme, how are you today? Did you get your Omeprazole? Hope you are feeling better and able to get stuff done - at least a bit.

Well I got all ambitious this morning and added the £10 saved when my lesson didn't happen to the money I had forgotten I'd saved in envelopes last year - I was all set to go and open an account with it when I thought it had better be a joint account so if anything should ever happen to me, then DH can use it without any problems. (We've shared our money for over 20 years so I'm confident this is safe!) However when I spoke to him on the phone all he said was we should talk about it first... so I am chafing at the nbit but as it hasn't got warm and the trees outside are apparently still doing New Year keep fit exercises, this is going off the boil and I am procrastinating about going to Mum's instead. I think I had better just get stuff together for her and go. Sooner I go, the sooner I'll be back, and besides, it means I can shop for her thus thwarting my shopping for self instincts!

Just had my second 2 hour nap of the day and feel heaps better :j...

So just sitting here waking up :D.

Just have to menu plan (essential) and possibly go to Mr M for groceries though so long as I get the menu plan done the food shop can wait....

Och that lavender and eucalyptus will help your virus sooo much....

Keep us informed on your progress. Don't forget sleep and like vit c too hun (about 4-6g a day when an infection - even viral is bad)

    :o:o I have to admit Badweather... I haven't! :o:o:o

Nooo... it would be so nice though! I had a stone and a half to lose and it's got panicy and is trying to gather friends.

No, I've had a lurgy and Christmas food and no exercise. Wish I had lost 9lbs though. *sigh* What's happened is I didn't have 2 stone to lose in the first place, more like 1.5 stone.

Going to watch Biggest Loser in a minute. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm miles better thanks - still got residual symptoms but not feeling unwell, which is just as well as last night's shift was unusually active and if I had been feeling under par I would have struggled. As it was, I stayed wide awake due to having to be on the go, then slept till 4.40 this afternoon!

No, nothing from Mike. Keeping my eyes open (apart from when I'm asleep of course).

I was concerned about you... picked up you were struggling the other day but I saw you were posting somewhere so I didn't panic. You have prayers. :) Also, can you play some Christian music or something? I've known that to help various people. Depends what works for you.

When I'm at work I seem to do little but work and sleep but I've managed to pop into the shops on the way. T*sco is selling off stocking fillers and I found some for the boys for a total of £4.50 which is a good start to the year's Christmas shopping! When I went back to check what I'd saved I was even more pleased - £25.50! That's a really useful contribution to Mr B's £2K challenge. I also saved quite a bit on grocery treats though I went over budget (card payment) getting £7 of loo rolls in one go! Ha ha. They were on offer.

Exercise is doing much better - walking to work (about 13 mins each way), a session on the Wii yesterday followed by a short run, and an hour's more leisurely walk today. I can't keep an accurate count of calories due to the complexities of home cooking but I have been fairly restrained over the last 24 hours.

Will just have a quick count up of savings to add to Mr B's challenge and the penny prisoners thread:
2 packs mango pieces were 50p each now 5p saving 50p
    pack apple slices saving 5p
2 packs bread rolls were £1 now 34p saving 66p
hot cross buns were £1.15 now 29p saving 86p
    olives were £3.25 now 29p saving £2.96
    ham was £1.76 now 29p saving £1.47
    Gifts saving £25.50

    Total savings £32 :)

DH and I are in discussions about the Halifax account... if it sounds ominous, don't panic. It's only money: "you can't eat it and it doesn't smell nice". (To quote the Orlando book).
