While I think of it... if you ask at the bakery section of supermarkets you may be able to get free fresh yeast. Something to do with them not being allowed to sell it due to something I can't remember. Our local Mr T theoretically gives it away in 2oz pieces (sometimes I have to explain it to the person on checkout but mostly they know). The 2oz pieces are sometimes a lot bigger! They just give me a chunk. It lasts a couple of days at least in the fridge if wrapped in plastic.
I tried that when I first starting baking bread. No joy. Mr S just sells it...Might have a word though with the new manager at the small Mr. S though as get on quite well with him and he might give me some...
Don't know when I'll get time for baking....
I have to rest my back and now I'm blitzing the kitchen and like I've said on my diary C is coming over on Monday to help me blitz the rest of the flat....I'm not the tidiest of folk...
Anyhow...praying next week's monies last longer than this week...

Worth trying the new manager... smile sweetly.
Quick note from me to me as I'm off to work for what will seem like most of the next four days: saved some money yesterday by using a gift voucher I'd forgotten about - something around £7 but I'll need to look it up before I add to my challenge total. Today I went into Mt T for something to munch at work and instead came out with all sorts of bargains, saving £6.80.
I'll add these to the various challenge threads and my sig later.
I've been offered another 13 hours at work in the next week or so. It's daytime which I'm not so much looking forward to but never mind - it will go to the mortgage overpayment.
For some reason today feels as if it's been productive. I slept late so I'm not so tired tonight, and I remembered to pay Mum's cleaner without reducing myself or anyone else to a nervous wreck. Two loads of washing are done, Mum has been visited and I remembered to take her a few things I had ready, and also not to overload her with edibles. I must be trying to compensate for something, the amount I usually take, but she is exactly the same - weighs me down with sweets and cakes however much I decline!Miggy

Quick update - haven't done the sums for my signature yet but haven't spent anything today either. I could do with topping up my phone tonight or tomorrow though.
Did some extra time this morning so eventually that will be added to my signature, and I've been asleep since.
Very glad Mr Bloater's back, I hate it when people disappear.Miggy

Hi Erme, I think it is... but then I thought I had one on here and I haven't... need to get it sorted but may not manage that until this current batch of working is finished and I've had home group, my piano lesson and visited Mum - which takes me to Tuesday evening.
Mopeds? Not the foggiest, sorry!
PM me on FB hun (and I've just seen my inbox here is full again, sorry) and if my email isn't there I'll pass it on to you. Don't worry if I don't get back to you straight away: I check it most days but not absolutely always.
NSD today, I decided again topping up the phone, still got credit enough for a while.Miggy

NSD so far today.
Weighed in and am down 0.5 lbs over the week which I think is sustainable with a bit of discipline.I'm not looking at huge weight loses as I just don't get there, but if I celebrate each little victory and - importantly - hold on to them, I will make the necessary total eventually.

Urgh... tired! So glad it's going to be milder tomorrow as today's been freezing. However, I have saved a little bit on shopping so I need to do some sums to add to my sig:
£6.80 from the other day
£7.50 (approx) from using a gift token instead of cash.
Total £14.30 - sig now up to date.
