Hello all... I'm on a borrowed laptop... all well with me but not with my computer. :(

Suspected trojan despite all our antivirus stuff.

It's going to be looked at today and I hope to be back on line properly tomorrow. If I'm not, don't worry... will just have to wait till I find a solution.

Chat among yourselves and eat the virtual biscuits (bourbons I think) till I get back. :)

Well as you can see from my DFD my macbook is going in for repairs tomorrow.....(remind me to print off the details). Known issue.

Why don't you just get a mac Miggy? A lot less hassle :). Get an intel one and you'll be fine. Preferably with Leopard on it.

Mine is all on my diary...so if you don't see me for a day or two you know why

    Virtual sugar cookies coming up...

Computer sorted, I am exhausted but at least I have a bit of time to breathe now. Mac sounds good but better keep going with this now we have one or two big spends coming up. :)

And what a day... awake till some time after 2 this morning, up at seven thirty, very intense (though positive) supervision at work which left me with not a lot of energy, home to mooch a bit then prep the study for this evening and fitted in shopping and tea somewhere, out to my friend's only to find only a couple of us could make it, stayed and chatted... and in between this there's an essay to proofread for DD tonight and trouble from someone in Mum's village who is damaging her boundary and trying to make out the land's his! It doesn't even abut onto his land but because it's a land dispute the police are saying they won't touch it.

Recovered from the glooms of yesterday after a night's sleep, and found my piano lesson is cancelled which was a shame because I enjoy it but I hadn't done enough practice (various reasons - but I'm proud of myself because I think I've finally got the hang of moving from major to minor scales, which is very simple but I needed to step back and really analyse it because I don't take in verbal instructions very well!)

So there's £10 saved towards mortgage overpayment :j plus 5p wombled off receipts, and I still have a few in my bag to feed through the system: nothing huge though. Also £1.84 saved while shopping. :)

£1.82 saved off today's shopping... still went over £10 which isn't too good. Looking back over the list, each individual buy was okay, it's the total that's a bit high.

There's a casserole in the slow cooker for lunchtime, made entirely of things we already have. :)

Just placed an order with N*xt... found out I don't have to sign up for an account with them and can do this as a one-off cash payment which I vastly prefer!

Not for me though admittedly some of it would have been if the items I wanted hadn't sold out! Both Dh and I really need to get a few newer things to wear - jumpers are getting very bobbly, cuffs are fraying etc. Everything I've ordered was in the sale - ooh, that might mean a nice big add-on to savings made on my sig...!

Off I trundle to work it out - though feeling a bit guilty as I would have bought fewer items on full price. Actually I will put the number down here along with a memo to self to add it to signature when we are sure nothing needs to be returned... I make that £61 saved! :j

Now I think I'll see if I can find a top like the ones I missed: here I come, Ebay! ;)

Spent another £9.49 on Ebay. :o

No, I did NOT need another hoodie.:o:o:o Never mind, it was good in that it's a good make and pretty colour and I have been wearing to much of the same sort of stuff (did I think it would make me invisible?)

Now I need to throw some of the old, worn stuff out. :(

Delivery arrived, all in order except one gift which was smashed, so that's gone back and I should be refunded £4.

Coooold and grey (again) but it's not so cold indoors since I discovered that DS2 had turned the most powerful storage heater down to about a third of its capacity so he could sit on it! I held out for the rights of the many and it's now sizzling again. :)

I've done two loads of washing already today (working over weekend so I need to keep on top of it) and need to do some errands as well as a visit to Mum:
    • [STRIKE]pay Mum's paper bill,[/STRIKE]
    • make £10 mortgage overpayment,
    • [STRIKE]shop for dinner, laundry liquid, [/STRIKE]fabric conditioner [STRIKE]and paper towels[/STRIKE],
    • [STRIKE]collect Argos catalogue for her[/STRIKE]
I think that's all. I'll [STRIKE]check my diary to see how the next few days pan out[/STRIKE], unpack the dishwasher and [STRIKE]put clothes away[/STRIKE] first... do NOT want to go out of doors! :D
