You may already have seen these, but I think they're fantastic (I want one)!

I have got very little done today apart from browsing Ebay for far too long... so far I've avoided bidding for anything but I'm on the lookout for a bag (yes, I have a bag - several - but this is a DIFFERENT bag).

On a positive note I cleaned the dishwasher thoroughly, thus avoiding the £2.50 or whatever it costs to buy special cleaner. In fact I think that can go onto my savings. :)

I haven't spent or saved much for the last few days, only £2.50 on a chicken the other day, and I've gained 0.5 lbs. I'm not getting much exercise due to hibernating as it's so cold out though today's sunny and beautiful but still snowy and slippery.

The new window people have changed the date they're coming: it's now tomorrow which means I miss my lesson and there's another tenner to add to the mortgage overpayment. :) I won't add that till it goes in though.

DH and I have had further discussions on changing the bank account but he's very change-averse! Perhaps I should just set up one myself though that way we don't get the one-off incentive as I'm not prepared to pay all the DDs and SOs on my wages. He also pointed out that our current account has a bigger overdraft facitlity than we're likely to get offered elsewhere. I said we wouldn't lose that, but he still can't cope with the thought of changing (I guess I'm the one with the bit between my teeth) so I'm not pushing it... much :D He's saved us a lot by looking round for good insurance deals and changing Utilities so I can't begrudge that.

I'm actually not wanting any more bags right now. Can you believe it :o

I don't know if the PB was a good buy or not. Right now App world server is not working and they managed to charge me £2 for a game they've not delivered...

Also quite tired from all the shenanigans last week....so pray I can cook a decent meal tonight...

So yeah just catching up on posts and the MB DV goes in for repairs tomorrow so pray they have the bottom case for fixing it otherwise I shall get them to order it and bring it home.....

I'm really hoping I can make the FP prayer meeting tomorrow. I shall have to walk/cycle but we'll see. I figure if I rest today it's a possibility

PS. they knew perfectly well it wasn't a cig at the conference yet still made me vape outside. It was pouring with rain and freezing ...felt quite hurt and put out. I got frozen more than once. Ignorance is bliss I guess

Did you manage some rest, Erme? Actually I should get some too - hadn't realised how late it's getting.

Saved 99p while shopping today - not good as I spent nearly £19 on groceries.

I've just moved a forest of plants away from the window that's to be replaced tomorrow. DS2 an DH are saying I have too many and they're all too big. I guess they're right but I love my plants and there's nowhere left to put them. :(

I've had an indulgent morning, curled up reading MuffinTops' diary in the one warm room while the workmen are installing the new window in the lounge. It's looking really good. :) (So is the window ;)).

There is a load in the washing machine so I haven't been entirely unproductive. I also phoned DD who is on the way home from a weekend with her cousin in Switzerland. I've only heard half the tale as we got cut off, but her cousin was in a nasty accident while there and has ended up coming home with her face stitched up! She was sledging at speed, missed a corner, somersaulted through the air and her sunglasses smashed into her face. DD was first on the scene; good job she seems to have kept her head, got a response out of her cousin and called for help, but it was minus 20 so priority went to keeping her cousin warm till help arrived - in the end it was quicker for them to piggyback her down the mountain on a sledge and get her into town and hospital while DD took the surplus sled down.

Meanwhile I have various things I ought to be doing but my dining table - the only surface to work on that isn't freezing! - is full of plants so that's my excuse. :o

    Hello Miggy,
I've found you and I love your diary name! Coffee and Chocolate are major downfalls for me, but I love them!

I'll definitely have a good read through. I always use to go for biographical books, but now I've found this site it's feeding that fix.

Good luck with finding your plants a new place to rest while the windows get replaced.

    Thanks Muffy :).

I have a feeling the rest of the family want the plants rehomed  before the plants are too big to get through the door! :rotfl:

KWYM about the site being addictive reading - who needs soaps when we have our interactive world with such great people in it?! It's broadened my horizons too as I've talked to such a variety of people with some very different views and so far haven't thrown things at the computer as a result. :o

Hope DD's cousin (and DD) is OK.

A table full of plants is a very good [STRIKE]excuse[/STRIKE] reason not to do anything.

    Addictive? MSE? Never :rotfl:

Hope the new window is now done.

I think they are, thanks, Hovel Lady. :) Repairs needed where the sunglasses went into her face but fine to fly home and drive once she got here. DD's now back home too... well she was... she's out with her boyfriend now. :D

The table's now only half full of plants as I found places for some of them - temporary places though.

The window is in place and very smart though we can't put the curtains back for a couple of days till the sealant is completely set. On an MS note... it wasn't MS, it's going to make a dint in savings to say the least but it had to be done and hopefully it will keep the house warmer thus raking back some of the pennies.

Off to rejig my financial priorities list. :D
