I dont know if you are considering bankruptcy, but you should be aware that If you go bankrupt, the Official Receiver will investigate to establish and identify any misconduct.
Obtaining credit by giving false info about your income, employment status or assets is covered by the Theft Act, so the OR would prepare a statement of facts and submit it to the relevent body, who would decide whether to prosecute.
Also such misconduct would be reported to the court by the OR for the Court for the court to consider making a Bankruptcy Restrictions Order, which if granted by court could make you subject to the restrictions fo bankruptcy for the period set bythe court, between 2-15 years. For more info on bankruptcy, and Bankruptcy Restriction Orders see https://www.insolvency.gov.uk.0 -
sorry i dont agree, the banks or financial institutions pass on the loss via increased charges to their customers.frenchconnection200 wrote:I would think it is pretty much a 'victimless crime' , only the lovely banks will lose out. If they sent you to jail they would never get their money. Just be honest to any charities you involve and take their advice.
Before anyone says we all lose out with increased bank charges to cover fraud etc I would point out that murder has hardly been commited and the OP asked for advice not a load of flack!!0 -
Yes you do agree, cos that's what I said.
I was just pointing out that the OP doesn't deserve the comments that have been levelled at them, their 'crime' is small fry compared to some. The banks will use any excuse to raise charges, and its only to pay their board members vastly inflated wages. The banks are the biggest crooks of all in my opinion.Sealed pot challenge number 5130
