She knows it's fraud of a kind, but she hasn't tried to DEFRAUD anyone, and is still trying to pay back what she owes.
Yes she has. She has defrauded the bank.0 -
Just cuz I love a good argument - I break the law every day when I drive over the speed limit - I don't believe any driver who says they have never, ever been over the limit because that would make them a dangerous driver by continuously looking at the speedo and not the road! :rotfl:
Also, picking up money from the street and keeping it is a crime - this applies to any amount including a penny. "See a penny, pick it up and all day long you will have good luck" Not if a copper sees you, you'll be sent to jail!!

Again, that whole statement misses the fact that the poster needs to be responsible for what she has done. She lied. That is wrong. There is no argument against this, wether you are left, centre or right wing.0 -
And another one...
Keeping money in a jar or a piggy bank is also illegal because it is keeping money out of circulation.
Are there people still saying they have never broken the law?
Doesn't matter if you didn't know - ignorance is no defence.
Well done OP for trying to sort it out. At least if you post or start a new thread in the future you have had a baptism of fire and it won't be as bad as this!!

I really think some of the posts on here have lost sight of the OP and are now just reducing it to petty squabbling between themselves.
'Up the creek' was frank enough to admit their mistake and admit they needed help. They obviously lied in a bid to get themselves out of trouble and I for one, appreciate what being desperate is like. They did not intend to steal any money from the bank they had every intention of paying it back and at the time probably thought they were doing something to solve their financial difficulties benefitting them as well as their existing creditors.
Post your SOA (maybe you should start a new thread for that so this issue doesnt overshadow it) theres tonnes of really helpful people with brilliant advice so dont despair yet!Debt Free Nerd 1700 -
