Of course, I wouldn't be stupid enough not to...;)

Going back to the OP - an SOA would really help understand the scale of the problem.
Yes they screwed up but it sounds like he/she has learnt the lesson already. Coming clean may only mess up their future prospects of getting credit and will not help anyone.
Bankruptcy or IVA is only going to reduce the amount of money the creditors get back so that doesnt help the other bank customers does it. Is there another answer which would help the OP get out of this hole without incriminating his/herself.0 -

You are missing the point. That whole paragraph illustrates why I said this country is going downhill fast. It is all very well to say the bank should have checked this and that. I do agree with you in the sense that there should be more solid checks on peoples income. The trouble is with your opinion is that you seem to be missing that the original poster should take responsibilty for being honest. What you are saying is a symptom of the liberal lefty blame culture sweeping this country. Saying it is everyone else's fault apart from my own. On the very first post the poster made, they admitted that they lied about three things on their application form. This is a crime, I am amazed that you cannot see that??????!!!!!!!0 -

Hi OP
An SOA would be a good idea, however post a new thread so none of this malarky follows it!!
I think that you should get yourself one of these free consultations with a Solicitor that are sometimes advertised - large employers often do this for employees without having to know what it is about, alternatively search Solicitors websites in your area for free consultations.
There has been a lot of 'opinion' stated so far, however the only people that can give you solid advice are the Police (probably not a good idea); the financial companies (definitely not a good idea) or a Solicitor.
Good luck with it, I hope you manage to sort yourself out.

Would just like to point out to some of the posters who would like to see me impisoned & if they had their way would probably have me hung, drawn & quatered. If the police did get involved & i consequently went through the court system & prison. Just who foots the bill for all this, not the banks but you the tax payer. Also if i came out the other side as an "ex con" i probably would never get a another job so the state has to keep me, paid for again by the tax payer! while my creditors will get nothing.
I am not proud of what i have done. I can't go bankrupt because of my job.I realise i will never be able to pay it all back. I am currently thinking of an IVA or DMP because surely my creditors would prefer to get something rather than nothing which is what will happen i am prosecuted & lose my job.
Thanks
I sympathise with you in the sense that you may have trouble paying your loans back. On the other hand, I don't sympatise with you as you lied. You deceived the bank to gain extra money. This is a crime. You say you can't go bankrupt because of your job. Do you work in a financial related field?0
