Ciao is slow for earning- dooyo can be a bit faster but dooyoo doesn't have the premium fund (which is shared out once a month ,around the 14th) so it works out quite similar... the more you rate the more people will rate you so the more money you get essentially!

I've listed a few more things on Amazon today but i still haven't had a sale since saturday! it's really annoying!!!

I hadn't had an Amazon sale all week, then today 3 at once. It's obviously been a slow day at work for some people!

Oh hurrahhh! Just sold my wii fit and netmums! Sold it along with balance board and an extra keep fit game for £50! People kept messaging me with stupid offers- £20!! Erm... I don't think so! So that's £50 for me! Although I won't get it until next week when I drop it off! But that's so good cos I was getting fed up of no amazon sales! Well done you on getting 3!!

Got a lady coming round this afternoon to look at all my card making kit that I'm selling. It's vast! There's over £400 worth of stuff but I'm asking for £80... I hope she decides she wants it as that'll be good money for the fund and also more space!

On 8th Aug we're doing an open to view for our house in an attempt to get it sold so I'm really trying to declutter massively before this date! This weekend my husband is spending all day Saturday sorting the loft whilst I take the baby out for the day and then on Sunday it's my turn to tackle the spare room whilst he takes her out for the day! Hopefully by the end of the weekend we'll have thrown lots away and listed more things!

Gameboy runs out on ebay tomorrow... it's on £8.50 so hoping it'll go up to £10!
  • Well done! I've had a bad week and basically blown most of what I earnt last week, so I'm working extra hard from now on :(

I've just had two really nice experiences with ebay buyers:
    1. I sold a bikini but it turned out to be the wrong size (my mistake) so I offered a full refund plus postage. Thought I was gonna get in loads of trouble have a NAD or bad feedback but the buyer said it was OK, she'll keep it and resell it, she just wanted to make me aware, and then she left some really good feedback which I wasn't expecting.
    2. I sold some books, I've been selling them off in batches of 8 or 10 as I have far too many to list individually at the moment. one of the buyers has now bought 2 more batches and even offered to pay more in postage although I'm going to send them all in one package as I undercharged the postage on the first lot (it happens a lot me undercharging, I base my costs on the average 10 books and it seems my average was probably on the light side but I usually write it off as a cost and I'm still making money, even if it does cut an extra 50p off my takings).
After all the vents and warnings about ebay buyers it was so nice to deal with some really lovely ones, it's made my day :D

Good luck with selling clothes, are you putting them on ebay? I noticed one of your other posts you wanted to avoid car booting if you could so do you have the Friday-ad where you are? I'm sure if you advertise under a certain £ it's free, and if you have lots you could stick them in there in bundles of 5/10/20 and probably get more than on ebay and also avoid the Post Office and ebay/paypal fees ;)

Aw your ebay experiences sound good!! well done! How did you list your books then? Just 10 random books? I don't know whether to do that with mine... the ones that i haven't bothered listing on amazon but I think the postage would end up too much n nobody would end up bidding!

I've just listed a bundle of baby clothes on free classifieds but i haven't looked at the local paper or anything yet... i may do! I could just do with clearing out some space they take up so much room! If it gets to Sept and i haven't sold them i'm just going to take them to a charity shop but i would likek to try to make some pennies on them it seems such a shame otherwise!
  • Hi there lovely ladies, can I join in too please? I too need to rake in some money (grandson's birthday in Spain in September, airfare needed!) I have been selling bits and pieces on ebay but have a dispute with Paypal who have put a 21-day withdrawal limit on my account, which is how I came to this thread (searching on the forums).
However, I have been so inspired by your success stores, never knew about ciao and dooyoo and going to go over there when I finish this posting!
One thing I have been doing - I went onto the police auction site www.bumblebeeauctions.co.uk and bid on a few things in my local area. You won't believe it but I picked up a genuine Gucci handbag and Lipsy shoes for a few pounds each. Have also bid and won 4 rings, also for a few pounds. Bids start at £1 and there's some good stuff amongst the dreck. These are then sold on ebay. :j
My daughter and I have both lost a lot of weight with Slimming World and took bags full of clothes to our local carboot, sold them for 50p an item and made about £20 each. It may not sound a lot but it's £20 we didn't have earlier that morning!
Also looking through my CD, DVD and book collection for stuff for Amazon - amazing what you can find. Thanks for the help, advice and support. I look forward to sharing my success stories with you. :D
