Who wants to buddy up?!

I'm setting myself a target to earn £500 over the next month or so to help fund childcare. Was thinking it would be good to buddy up with someone who is also wanting to do something similar so we can share our successes and failures to help spur each other on!

I'm hoping to declutter the house so sell some things on ebay and car boots and also try to dedicate some time to review writing on dooyoo/ciao and see if I can reach my target!

Anyone interested?!

Ooh, me please, I need to raise £1,000 by September to pay for rental deposit.
I'm currently flogging everything spare on ebay, partly for money reasons and partly cos I just don't want to carry anymore junk than I need to to the new place. I've also put some stuff on Amazon and doing some mystery shopping. So far, total around £20 :(

I'm currently listing some books on amazon... put a grand total of 20 up now and really hoping at least some go! I've sorted through a load of card making things and trying to sell them too... just seems like there's loads i could sell but it's organising it all that's the trouble!

And also it takes so long!!!!
Although I did see another poster mention an amazon compatible barcode scanner for £70. If I start to make any kind of money from this I may invest ;)
I'm working my way through in a semi organised fashion, cleared wardrobes 1 and 2 of old clothes, next need to go through toys games and books to see what is in good condition and finish uploading clothes to ebay.
My aim is to at least get everything saleable listed by Sunday, then if it doesnt sell I can just relist (ebay) or let it do it's own thing on Amazon.
I've also started clearing my backlog of survey emails and just redeemed £3 worth of Lightspeed points:j

I've sorted through all my books and put them in piles- to just put in a big job lot on ebay, to sell on amazon and to keep. I've listed 59 on amazon and so far sold 2! So at least I can see there's hope!

Are you selling your clothes separately on ebay? Do you get much luck? I haven't listed anything on ebay for a while but once I've gone through my clothes I probalby will. I'm aiming to get a huge bundle of clothes, books, cds, toys and put it as a job lot on ebay my aim is to get this done by the end of the month...!

How are you getting on today?

Glad to hear you're doing well :)
Son was ill today so had to take a day off work. I've caught up on lots of surveys and finished listing first pile of clothes on ebay.
I'm listing high value/branded/really good condition things separately and the rest I've bundled into small lots of 3-6. If they don't sell I'll bundle them into bigger lots after my free relisting.
So far today sold one bundle of books and earnt about £10 on various surveys, but can't cash any of it in until I reach individual limits, so frustrating. There needs to be a utility warehouse for survey sites that just links all the sites in one place!
I've been going through the cupboards and realised I have loads of cookbooks, cooking magazines etc to get rid of. Do you think I should put them on Amazon, Ebay, both or just take straight to the charity shop?

Oh sounds like you've been busy! It is free listing on ebay today then? I hate all the fees with ebay! Sorry to hear that your son has been ill though, it's difficult trying to work and be a parent! I've had so many days off work since my daughter was born, nursery are always ringing me up to say she's not well and I have to leave work!

I would probably list books on Amazon, I think you get people more willing to pay a set amount whereas on ebay people just really want a bargain if you know what i mean? When you list on Amazon it tells you how many other books are being sold of that type too so you can see if you've got a lot of competition or not.

Today I've also done a review on dooyoo which has earnt me the grand total of £1! So today I've sold 2 items on amazon and done a review so I've made £11!

I need to get myself looking at survey sites but I find they take up such a lot of time, I joined valued opinions and forever got screened out of them and just got frustrated with it!

Ooh, I might have a look at Dooyoo.
Survey sites I get the most from are lightspeed, crowdology and valued opinions. They also have the lowest withdrawal limits and pay to paypal. I've had 2 payments from Lightspeed in the last two weeks, both for £3, and I'm due one from crowdology as soon as my latest surveys register.
I'm prioritising the ones that pay in cash because amazon vouchers are nice but won't pay the deposit!

    So if I need £1,000 in 50 days then that's £20 a day?
So today I've earnt £2.32/20 from survey sites and my running total is around £35/1,000.
How are you doing in total?

Yeah it's worth looking into dooyoo and ciao... if you join one you may as well join the other as you can copy your reviews from one to the other so you technically get double the money! If you want I can PM you a link so if you join I can a bonus!

I'm needing £400 by mid Aug. I've so far got £22! This is very slow going! I'm hoping some more of my things in amazon get bought over the weekend!

I'm going to do a LOT of sorting this weekend that's for sure! Which is a shame because it's meant to be nice weather and I'd prefer to be outside! But beggers can't be choosers!

I'd like to join in too :)

I'm saving for uni mostly, but also me and BF want to go on holiday just after Xmas (snowboarding) - going to cost about £900 and as I'll be at uni I won't have loads of money, unless I get a good part time job. Fingers crossed!

I've got my car stereo on eBay, as I just sold my car (but won't include the car sale lol)..

So, current Holiday fund is £0.

    Good luck!!
    9/70lbs to lose :)
