hey all!!
Do you have room for another?? I seriously need to get a grip of myself and start earning some money, I'm astounded by how much you're all pulling in so quickly!
I need to raise an extra £500 I reckon, I've always put off doing things like ebay, partly because I'm lazy, but mostly because I just didn't think I'd make much from it - you've inspired me to give it a go though!
Out of interest, what are you all selling?
Today is day one for me, I've just sold on some books I bought for uni, so provided the girl turns up to meet me after work - I'll have made £50 today - is that cheating to count that??
Hope you're all having a good day!

Oh - would it be alright if I used the links you've posted a couple of pages back to do reviews as well?0
-
Hey yes it's fine for you to use the links to do reviews.
And of course it's fine for you to join us!
I'm selling EVERYTHING from my books, sheet music, cds, dvds, old gameboy etc. I'm tending to list most things on amazon as it seems much more generous.
Do you have a target for when you want to have got your £500 by? I was meant to get £400 by mid august but it's looking less likely...
Today: Amazon sales- £3, Ciao/dooyoo £12- total £15 so quite a good day really considering!0 -
I wish I could earn as much as you on Ciao/Dooyoo, I think I need more practice. Have you any tips you'd llike to share? I had a comment that I needed more personal opinion, should I make it more personal? I was trying to be objective and balanced but maybe that's the wrong way of doing things.
I've been looking at the 'strange things to sell on ebay thread' or whatever it's called and it's made me realise how much more of my junk I could sell. Tomorrow is another major listing day as I can whack things on for a 1 day listing to end sat and then if they dont sell relist them for 1 more day to end on sunday. Not sure about selling carrier bags though....
Ebay/amazon has been going quite well for me (not so good for the poor lady in the post office, I picked the quietest post office in the area and think she's a bit shell shocked now!). Think I'm going to sell some of my furniture as well, sofa, freezer etc For some reason estate agent thinks I can only 'service' a rent equivalent to a 1 bed flat so it's all gonna be a bit squished if I don't have a massive clearout! :?0 -
yay, just had a call from a friend asking me to cover his shift on saturday so that's an extra £25 minimum. I'm putting all this money in a separate account so I can separate it out.
It's been a bit of a shock to realise how much 'extra' cash I earn without having anything to show for it as a lot of this stuff is what I normally do just to make ends meet. Now if I can make an extra £500 odd a month and NOT spend it, I'll be rich0 -
Hey I too am putting the money in a separate account it makes it easier then to know what i've got!
Okay tips for writing reviews...this is the link for the review i Have just written
http://www.ciao.co.uk/Early_Learning_Centre_My_First_Shop__Review_5923343
It is on a toy and it's just under 1,000 words long. In the review I have described what it is, what it does and then what I think about it. So it's fairly balanced as I've described it then critiqued it ableit in a very positive way! I think reviews need to be written in a laid out manner so if you're doing a shampoo for example write about what it looks like, was it easy to get hold of, what claims did it make (Eg will it make your hair suddenly have loads of volume) then the next section write about what you did- did you use a lot, did you blow dry after, what was the result? Then the last section you write your conclusion- were you happy with the result? Would you buy again? What didn't you like? What did you like?
Also, when you have written a review, people will mainly rate yours back if you've been seen to be rating other peoples'. I tend to write a review then rate about 20 others. This raises your profile and also makes people rate back so you get more hits.
Reviews that are over 400 words tend to get better ratings.
I hope this helps! Feel free to look through more of my reviews to get examples.0 -
Wow! That's a lot more planned than mine. I will have to have a more detailed look later, just off to do some daily clicks in my own small way.
TCB are offering 70p per survey for the itsyourview site if that interests anyone. Not sure what the payout level is like as there appear to have been a few tracking issues but seems fine so far and a much better payout rate than Toluna or similar.0 -
Good morning all!!
Anyone else got the crunchie feeling?? So very, very glad it's Friday!
Fozzeh - Thanks for the welcome!I need the money as soon as possible really! Too many expenses coming up, and not enough money coming in!
Ideally by the end of the month - but as that's very ambitious, I'll maybe say mid-August!
I've just signed up to Ciao and dooyou - got a little bit of work to do first, but then I'll get straight on the case! And this weekend I'm going to go crazy on ebay!
Have a good day all

I'm just doing a Ciao review now, is it possible to add a photo later once you've written the review?0
-
Hey yes it's fine to upload a photo after on ciao!
Today i've not been successful on the amazon front- no sales! But at least it means i don't have to go and stand in a post office queue again! haha!
I have managed to write two ciao reviews though, one which i've published today and one that i'll do tomorrow so that's good. My baby's been really good today so even though i've not really made much money I've had a good day and I think I'm going to treat myself to a take away or something similar tonight
How you all doing? x0
