Hi Lor, don't worry about e-bay its always hit and miss- just relist your items as many times it takes to sell...
Sometimes it takes me 4-5 goes to sell the same thing but at least somebody buys it.
I really hope to put up my PS2 this weekend, I hope it wasn't just a fluke that they are in demand at the moment."NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS FREE FOOD"

Hi everyone! Just logged in tonight after a super day out with a friend ... the cost?
Bus trip to Eastbourne - FREE (pensioner bus pass)
Open-top bus trip to Beachy Head cliffs and tourist centre - FREE (see above)
Lunch - FREE (own sandwiches and bottled water refilled from my kitchen tap - hey I'm not fussy)
Time spent with a great friend - PRICELESS
Coco- I don't know anyone who doesn't love Avon, but it's sometimes jolly difficult to find an Avon Lady as they don't seem to advertise (little tip there.)
No more sales on Amazon as yet, 2 bids on ebay items, won £5 on the Thunderball on Wednesday.

Fozzeh, you are right about the Amazon prices. I check my inventory every day, and try to bring the prices down to be competitive. e.g. I had two "For Dummies" audiobooks for sale, and realised they were more expensive than Amazon's own price (because Amazon offers free delivery). Of course the buyer has to pay an extra £2.75 delivery charges for private sellers, so I've lowered my prices accordingly.
It may look as though the books are going for peanuts, but sometimes you can make 50p on the postage, two sales and that's pound, not to be sniffed at!
Coco - don't feel daunted, you are almost a fifth of the way there, great stuff! Keep it up.0 -
Logged into Amazon this morning and I had no sales so after yesterday's excitement of having 3 i was disappointed! haha! I have 8 parcels to take to the post office in a bit and they're all really big so I think I will be holding the queue up for ages and getting people tutting at me!
Wow you did really well Fi, a day out for free!! That's really good! I can never do anything for free if we go anywhere because I am too easily conned into venturing into cake shops and consuming cake! nom nom!
Coco good luck with car boot if you do do it today! It's raining here too- boo!0 -
Hey hope someone here can help me, im a regular at selling things on ebay and amazon but its normaly small stuff that can fit in a padded envelope (Dvd's,Cd's etc). But im thinking of selling my wii or wii fit as i have not really used them much this year and would rather have the cash than them just sitting.
So my question is how would i go about packaging a Wii i still have the original box but i cant seem to find another box to fit it and who would i send it with royal mail or someone like parcelforce?
Any help would be great.:)Full Time Student

Hi guys,
good day for me today, sold fridge freezer for £64.50 on ebay (!!!!) and a few things on amazon plus some more books means I'm at £100 odd today :j
Just as well as I'm on two weeks holiday now so will have to pay for things like food  (normally I eat at work and son eats at school/childminders).
Found loads of unopened smellies that I've been given for Christmas so I've whacked them on ebay too.
And.... I found out why my vax doesn't work (someone had thrown away the filter so the dust was going in at the bottom and flying out the front) so now instead of paying out loads on a new hoover, I'm paying £19.99 for a new filter, yay :j
Also I've started comping (as you can see from my signature) so hoping to win lots of nice things (the cottage or the £200,000 would be nice, but then so would some new makeup, especially the more expensive brands. Can't justify spending £15-20 on mascara any more)
Does anyone else here comp, or do you all have far better and more interesting things to do with your evenings0 -
Hi Marty and welcome.
For something like a Wii, I would probably try to get the box into a large jiffy bag, if not some bubble wrap, brown paper and parcel tape should work. Make sure the Wii is secure in the box and that nothing can fly around. Boxes do sometimes get thrown in and out of vans so the less moving parts the better
I'd send it by parcelforce myself, purely because you can track it, and I imagine for that weight you're probably going to spend loads if you want it to go special delivery instead.0 -

Hey! Well done today lalli! That's excellent! Yey !:)
I'm not sure what my total is, I think it's about £360! I am going to do my invoices tomorrow for my freelance work and I count that towards it too so I think that may be going to take me up to my target! Hurrah!
Okay so my next target will need to be set, in truth we are saving like mad because we want another baby which i know always is daunting financially for everyone but for us it's a bit more than that... I have a really awkward allergy. I'm allergic to oestrogen so during my last pregnancy i was very ill- i had stroke like symptoms, morning sickness and suspected miscarriage. I had to stop working at 7 weeks and couldn't return so we're trying to save so that if that happens again we can at least have childcare paid for for Hope. I am the main breadwinner so whilst Stu looks for a better paid job I'm trying to save so we can afford for me not to work if i'm ill and for Hope to go to nursery still! So our aim is to get about 3k...! Erm... that is far too daunting a target so i'm doing it in chunks!
So I am going to set my aim to be £250 by end of Sept. I'm not sure if i'll do it as i don't have anything big to sell and we are going to moving around then but you never know! maybe with lots of encouragement i'll do it!0 -
No I dont do competitions... well i did, i have entered a few over the last 2 months but never won anything so it puts me off as i entered quite a lot and wasted lots of time on it! Boo!0
