What I would have thought is that something as serious as aborting a child is a very serious thing. As a human, I would have expected an element of regret.
Perhaps as the father of an incredibly loved baby, I see things slightly different to someone who doesn't want children at all....
Our opinions are always affected by our own experiences, that's exactly why we shouldn't make assumptions about how anybody else should or will feel. I am auntie to an incredibly loved nephew for the record, not wanting your own children does not mean you hate them.
I find your 'as a human' comment very offensive.0 -
Then as a father maybe you should see us males have no right to dictate how a woman feels about what goes on with their bodies, all we can do is help start things off and lo and behold we suffer no physical pain nor do our bodies have to change etc. These ladies have enough to go through without someone who can't even comprehend it telling them how to feel.Equaliser123 wrote: »Perhaps as the father of an incredibly loved baby, I see things slightly different to someone who doesn't want children at all....Approach her; adore her. I couldn't really care if you find it offensive. You were trying to put words in my mouth in an offensive way and I wasn't too sensitive about it. Try and remember this is an anonymous internet forum.
My point is, I would expect humans to suffer some regret / sadness / melancholy at bringing an end to the development of another human life. Again, thought that was obvious.0 -

I don't subscribe to the the "males have no opinion to offer" in this.
My point is - and remains - I find it surprising that some posters have said that they have no regrets.0 -

Its very obvious. Several posters have stated that they felt no regret over their abortions, you have stated that you consider them less than human because of that reaction. Very very offensive. It may be an anonymous forum but the people who post here are very real.
You know, its against the law to force someone to donate a kidney, bone marrow, or even blood even if it will keep someone alive who would die without it. Yet people like you feel that adult, living women should have to willingly give over their body in service of a barely developed foetus they don't actually want.0 -
I would like to know how you think we do as this situation would never happen to us.Equaliser123 wrote: »I don't subscribe to the the "males have no opinion to offer" in this.Approach her; adore her. You either can't read or are distorting the truth. Get a grip and stop being so "offended" about a darn anonymous internet comment that a) wasn't said and b) wasn't directed to you anyway.
Completely disagree with what you are saying but really can't be bothered arguing with somone who keeps banging on about being offended.
Oh and and "barely developed foetus" actually grow into fully developed babies who grow into little toddlers, who grow into....0 -

Ridiculous argument, by that logic, your sperm all have a right to develop into babies, I hope you aren't wasting any!0
