Drunk driving in a Motability car.

Hi all,
Nice to see I have stirred up such a lively debate!
W.W.0 -
We are NOT paying for irresponsible drunk drivers to have a car.
The DLA is awarded because that person has mobility difficulties. It would continue to be paid to her whether she signed up for a Motability car or not.
If Motability chose to allow her to take on another vehicle, that is their commercial decision.
It may be that she has arrangements to pay off the balance of the write-off from other means ....
TBH I think she will still drive it even if she isn't a named driver (she has already driven drunk whats the difference if uninsured!)0 -

Me and you both (and others no doubt) wonder if WW will be so thoughtful then as to report her?
Hi all,
Oh dear,oh dear what a moral dillema that would put me under, doing what is right and reporting her or on the other hand as long as she isn't drunk its up to her if she wants to take that chance and my personnal conflict of never "grassing" anyone up.

p.s. What she did was wrong, but I started this thread because of my shock at the ease with which Motability and RSA have allowed this to be brushed off although she was convicted of drunk driving I still feel that she has somehow been rewarded as the car she has supposed to have ordered is much more substantial and luxurious than her last car.0 -
Maybe they just thought she wrote her car off and no drunk in charge of a car was mentioned.
then surely its a simple replacement,0 -

They have to produce their licence and paper licence to the dealership before ordering, plus Motability do loads of checks. However, Motability are the registered owners of the car, making it impossible for the Motability customer to obtain any insurance idenpendantly from the RSA.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0 -

Let's hope she doesn't kill somone, whilst you sort out your moral dilema.*SIGH*0

Remember we're not allowed to report anyone, think of the stress and anguish she'll go through whilst being investigated!
I should point out that's a joke based on another thread...Only 3% of those registered blind in the UK have zero vision.0
