I am aware that she is really sorry for her stupidity and accepts she did a foolish thing, she will never get behind the wheel of any vehicle while she is banned and therefore uninsurable.

I am so shocked and disgusted that a person can write a Motability car off whilst drunk and be rewarded a couple of months later with a brand new car and in the in between weeks she had a hired car provided till her new car was ready.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!

Hi,
I totally agree with you DX2 the people who really need Dla and using it for motability are the ones that have to fight for it. I would not think twice about reporting her. If the op does not want to do it themself the pm someone with the details and they will do it for them. Thanks for any help and advice given

Just one more thing, I was wondering why she still has a hired car?
If RSA has payed out for the wrecked vehicle so promptly surely RSA's obligation in this matter is finished.
I must stress that she isn't driving the hired car as she is under ban and must be using a designated driver.
Do RSA still pay for a hired car till she (or her designated driver) picks up her new Motability car which by all accounts could still be a good month or so?
That would mean that she would have had the hired car for approx 3 months which on top of the cost of the wrecked vehicle must be a fair amount of money.
I never thought to mention this about the hired car before.
who pays for the hired car?
Could you give me one of your lovely clear answers to this point please?

Just to inform all you helpful people who contributed to this thread that the Lady I was refering to in this thread picked up her new Motability car on Saturday 4th September.
She had a designated driver with her to pick the car up and I have been told by my friend who is her now ex boyfriend that he saw her driving the car on Saturday night!
