It has some marks on it which is probably why it was reduced so heavily and if I am correct the seat is separate when it folds which means it would need a bag for the plane so more expense. And I wouldn't take my Stokke on a plane so why would I take a £500 Joolz on a plane...etc etc etc

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, things are pretty hectic here as K is poorly and is very whiney/clingy so am struggling to keep both LO's settled atm.

I got my mum round to sit for an hour yesterday though and we took the older two swimming, it was fantastic and also made me feel a bit sad as it hit home just how little time we spend with them lately.....She is going to come once a week while they are on holidays so we can take them, it will be for a bit longer next week and we will take them for something to eat afterwards:)

T is now 6wks and 1day old and is finally tolerating her bouncy chair.....as long as she has her dummy and is being constantly bounced!!!! But it means we can get a bit of quiet in the house, she is still not very good at night though. Thankfully my medication seems to be helping and I am starting to get over playing the martyr all the time and feeling guilty or like a failure if I do have to ask dh to take over for a while while I sleep.

10 days till the christening and I am alsmost sorted, I have all our outfits and am just waiting on 3 replies to let me know if they are coming to the dinner afterwards, and if so what they want on their sunday dinner.

I think the seat can be left on if it's forward facing, it definately has to come off when parent facing though. My sister tell's me off for mistreating my joolz, it's because I see it as a cheap pram not a good pram I got cheap :rotfl:I dread to think what she'd say about how I treat my £5 nuna!

Isla's having her nap now and I really should tackle some tidying, or wash my hair, or one of a million other things that need doing! But I'm mooching around the net instead

Someone i know on fb (some of you might guess who im talking about ) said that she was weaned at 6 weeks, and 'she's fine'. Also she was talking (sentences) at 6 months.

Lily is coming on so much recently! Today she has learnt to open and close her mouth, similar to when you make fish noises.. And she had her fingers in the pincer grasp earlier. She looked like a crab!

Then during playtime on the floor, she pulled her legs underneath her and pushed her bum in the air like she was about to crawl! :eek:
Then she fell back down..

Have to go the the PO today, i got a red card from the postman. I think its the fairys from NMS

I have never been a prams person. Now after seeing all of the ones you have linked, i want an Icandy and/or a Joolz.

And i cant, because if we have another baby we will need a double pram! *wails*

Happy birthday for those I missed yesterday;) and to Elijah and Christopher for today.

Oscar has naps in his cot during the day, he won't settle properly anywhere else.
Went to meet childminder yesterday, hubby and wife team who seem quite nice. Going for 2hrs next Friday to see how things go. Oh and they pick him up and bring him home:T.

It is only because I won't take my Stokke on a plane that I am looking at other buggies. I was in Toys R Us yesterday and the saleswoman looked at me like I was a madman when I said I had a Stokke at home When I explained that it was to go on holiday then she understood


Edit - dt1 - glad you liked the CM. I have never heard of a CM who picks up and drops off...why would they bother?

MFD I go on a lot of planes and have seen a lot of parents struggling with a lot of pushchairs in a lot of airports. I suggest buying the cheapest foldaway umbrella stroller you can find and investing in a string bag for the back of it to hold baby paraphernalia. I love love love my Stokke (although it won't be going on any more planes unless we return to the UK forever) but I always gaze with a bit of envy at the parents with the crappy shake-the-handle-and-it's-up type who can load the kid in and go. To protect it in flight I recommend a designated blanket to wrap it in and then either a roll of cling film or a few cable ties.

SS - we have the cheapest umbrella fold you can buy (my parents gave it to me) but it doesn't recline so it is a bit limiting if you have a nosy baby like mine who won't sleep sat up!

Last time we borrowed Krystals Graco which was ace (and I did not the offer to borrow it again Krystal, thanks hun, I may yet have to come cap in hand but I would really like to get something of my own x) because it reclined and had a parasol which meant Benjamin would nap in it. Not in the evenings though *rolleyes*

For Santorini I need something a bit more substantial to deal with the terrain so I have been looking at 3 wheelers again - there is a mamakiddies cheapy jogger type that I nearly bought last time we went which is top of the tree at the moment. I have found a company advertising it for £69.99 but it is £94.99 when you click to buy so if I can sort them out I will have that one I think.

Edgar has added a new phase to his repertoire this morning "I can" he doesn't know what it mean though, he was just copying his big bro

Aless it has only been very recently that Edgar has dropped feeds in the middle of the night, he sleeps roughly midnight - 5am at the mo feeds then back to sleep for 3 or 4 hours:)

I looked up the Chanelle interview and what came up wasn't the original but talking about it, it sounds like the main reason is she's had the same problems many face and could probably overcome with good support but she probably had the usual different MW everyday giving different advice
MOTM no she hasn't settled down, she's a single mum, babydaddy is some lesser known footballer

I think I may become addicted to the site I found it on though! they have stories like Mum feeds toddler 3,000 calories a day :eek:

Also discovered Lilly Allen is 3months pregnant - that's why she's 'retired' from music, she wants to be a hands on mum and not be away from them until they start nursery etc

ETA - OMG that took me so long to write its not morning any more, its hard to type with a baby climbing on you and repeatedly shutting the lappy on your fingers
