just a quick one as i should be getting Charlie ready, MOTM if the car is registered in Lucys name and you have fully comp insurance with the being able to drive another car then you will be ok to drive it home.
However if its registered in your name your insurance policy will not cover you??? strange i know lol!
will be back once the monkey is on the bus!
I don't have any insurance as I stopped driving when money was tight and now we have plenty i've been meaning to get a car, but just haven't yet. I've been added to Lucy's policy for her car, but that's it. I still have driving licence, naturally.
It is strange how you have put it. If need be, i'll get Lucy to drive it home?
Hope 'monkey' has a nice day :rotfl:0 -
Happy birthday Molly and others yesterday and Elijah and others today (and congrats on team pink).
Huge congrats to Pigpen :j

Hey Jam
Happy birthday to Elijah and Christopher
(5th Aug was by due date)
Congrats to PP and welcome to Leonie
MOTM - if the car needs taxing you may need to produce a valid insurance certificate in order to do so. Also, as Caz has mentioned, usually fully comp policies will cover you to drive another car, that does not belong to you but only 3rd party and only if the other car has valid insurance. The easiest way would be to buy the car, sort out insurance and then collect or some garages offer free 7day insurance.
Sugar - Molly sounds very much like Liam and I agree Leila is a very clever little girl.0 -
Morning all,
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Elijah and ChristopherBtw, November mummies, wasn't scared off.. it was just nice to see you all celebrating each other's LO's varying achievements and not getting competitive or worried about anything
Phew, I was beginning to wonder if I'd offended people somehow and that's why most of the regulars weren't on last nightHow's fabulous Rhys doing?

Aless- I still feed H at night if he wakes up, which isn't that often but maybe once a week or so. He still takes quite a lot of milk if he does wake, so I assume he must be hungry rather than comfort sucking. It doesn't bother me to feed him and it doesn't seem to make him wake more often so I'm happy to stick with it.
Gisi I hope work goes well today for youIsla also still has a night feed, normally anything between 1 & 3am and it's always a proper feed too. I'm hoping she'll drop it herself in her own time.
OMG some really nasty biting insects about, I have three massive bites on my shoulder, one horrendous one right on the point of my elbow and ONE IN THE MIDDLE OF MY FOREHEAD. ARRRGGGHHHHHHH.
Husband has promised to clean the kitchen and he made me a cup of tea this morning but I'm really upset by the way he behaved yesterday and we'll need to find time to sit down and talk about it. I hate that because I always feel like I'm nagging - and nothing ever changes anyway.
Sugar those bite's sound sore, I hope you feel okay. Insect bites are horrible. Is kitchen tidying and tea husbands way of trying to apologise for being in the wrong yesterday? I understand what you mean about the nagging thing but now I try to see it not as nagging but as gently steering OH in the right direction. OH fails to adapt and change to Isla's changing needs so sometimes needs a bit of guidance.
Som - the headbands are from Primark! There from the adult section and I just stitch the elastic smaller. Or tie a knot in it if I'm being lazy :rotfl:
If anyone's around the Manchester area tomorrow there's a mini sling meet at Ashton Ikea if anyone fancies it?
There's been a programme on with monkeys and Isla's transfixed, she keeps giggling at the screen and trying to get back to the tv to touch them!Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -

just on to say thanks all for the sharing of my DH woes....
ended up having an ok day.
went to a larger mothercare and they had the sangenic plus nappy wrapper bin on special offer with 6 cassettes for 18.66.... given that a three pack of the cassettes costs £13!
So we bought one of those and I'll freecycle the other bin we have soon as the cassette in that one runs out. We only paid £2 for that one so quite happy.
They also had some plate/bowl sets reduced. DH has an obsession with the fire service so L has lots of fire engine books etc, so we got him the big red fire engine set, and another set of cutlery. Both of which were half price. I presume they are being discontinued.
Spent my afternoon painting some letters to decorate L's room, if I can when they are finished and up I'll take a photo and post it. DH looked after L a lot more, and even this morning did the 5am wake up, and got up with L at 7am and had him downstairs so i slept/dozed in bed till half 9......
Off to see a house we like this afternoon, so hope it works out!
Hugs to all that might need themWealth is not measured by currency0 -

where do you all put your baby to nap during the day?
E usually just naps in his bouncer or his swing, but he is nearly too big for them, so it got me thinking where is he gonna nap?
My mam says when he stays at hers if he hasnt fallen asleep by himeself somewhere when she knows he needs a nap she puts him in his cot
Which is what I have just done now, but I am worried he will then start getting confused between night and day?
I had his curtains and blinds open so its light in there?Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
