Sorry Glam, can't help with your figures I'm afraid...
I just tried to order some moon dough from the website... I'm not sure what I've actually ordered... If anything... That site is confusing!!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I'm wondering if no-one's replied cos they are too busy laughing at how poor my maths is
It makes sense in my head AND I used a calculator and spreadsheet (Susan
) to work it all out.
I'm even using my spreadsheet to make a list of pros and cons :cool:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I just have no idea how the vouchers and that work... I'm sure someone with half a brain more than me will come along soon though

The take home pay bit already takes into account the vouchers or tax efficient stuff so it's just the take home pay minus creche fees.
I think it's right but then I always think I'm right :rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Glam, I am not sure you've given us enough info to go on??
Creche 1 monthly, creche 2 annual? really?
Creche 2 means two hundred quid less take-home, even though OH uses the tax exemption scheme too?
If the monthly fees are 800+, why wouldn't OH be doing the scheme regardless of which creche?
I am confused
Anyone good with finances?
I've worked out mine and OH's take home pay using my tax efficient scheme and then using the Childcare vouchers for both of us.
Creche 1 - Monthly Fee £845
Creche 2 - Annual Fee £800
Creche 1 - Combined take home pay £2,054 (tax efficient just me)
Creche 2 - Combined take home pay £2,255 (vouchers me and OH)
£120 per month CB & CTC which will go on Childcare (CTC as of Sept when J is 1)
Creche 1 - £2,054 + £120 -£0 = £2,174
Creche 2 - £2,225 + £120 - £194 = £2,181
The £0 and £194 is any outstanding fees after paying through tax efficient or vouchers, I work out that although Creche 2 is £45 cheaper per month because of the tax efficient scheme it would only be £7 cheaper.
Question is, am I right?????0 -

sorry, creche 2 is monthly (I put annual for both initially)
creche 2 is £200 more take home pay as there is £486 going out before tax rather than £845
with the tax efficient scheme I can pay £845 BEFORE tax & NI & pension, OH pays nothing because its thru my work, with vouchers we each buy £243 worth of vouchers so have the other £314 to pay, £120 out of CB & CTC AND £194 out of our pocket.
does that make sense?

Susan - thanks for that...
Sami - i dont like the ingredients, i dont like that you're not given unbiased/neutral information and therefore "offered" the injections, its just expected. HV treated me like an idiot when i said L wouldnt be having them, spoke at me like i was a child....i also dont believe the "science" behind it.....
i worked in a welness practice before we moved and so had a "healthy minded" environment around me but now i feel out of the support network and i dont want to crumble due to pressue from gp/hv/my mum etcWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Sorry Glam, not up with vouchers and all that or i'd be able to help.
Had a nice day out, but alarmingly saw a couple of girls, maybe 16-18 with 3 or 4 kids <6 and a fat boy aged about 11 or 12 who was openly smoking in public.
It was the lad smoking that shocked me, not the rest. I know some kids do it, but so blatantly?0 -
Ladybird - when you have a spare moment, can you please link me those sock thingies again? Can't find the link you posted
Thanks.
Going to grab Lucy in a minute and look at these baby clubs.0
