    Thank you :)

I'm avoiding many of the routine tests myself this time around but will have the 2 standard scans, mostly to check that there's something there and it's alive at the first one and also because a friend of mine had a baby with anencephaly that was picked up by a scan but wouldn't have been discovered otherwise so I suppose it's at the back of my mind... I won't be having the extra growth scans that they'll insist on though...
I figure anything that would be able to be picked up at the dating scan would be picked up at the later scan anyway. It's not like they would be doing anything about anything they picked up in the intervening time anyway.

Cuppa please SM, and what's your question?

:j Tigs and :( Jillie, but I'm glad they didn't get in.

I also wouldn't refuse tests, but that is mostly because like Em I loved every second I saw my baby and it helped me feel a bit less like the wrapping on a Christmas present.

I understand the refusal of various tests, although it wouldnt be my preference to do so myself, but I thought the scans I had were quite special moments, the first time I got to see my baby IYSWIM. I'd have taken every opportunity offered to have the scans just cos I loved seeing him :)
I had five scans last time. You had to traipse a huge distance as the ward is at the other end of the hospital. You then had to queue for ages after your appointment only to have some moody midwife tell you that your bladder wasn't full even when you had drunk loads despite how ill it made feel. You also had to pay a fortune for the car park. I was in a permanent bad mood while pregnant though.

They were quite quick actually, within 3 days of diagnosis they'd decided to end the pregnancy and were booked in for induction...

    *hands sugar a cuppa* ...

right my question ... you all know about 'that girl' .. well ive put space between us as i think thats the right thing (for my sanity) and plus ive been really busy as well ... but as you also know we went to her eldest birthday party .. well basically ages ago (before the trouble) i asked her when a film philip wanted to come out (didnt know the release date but now do) could she watch the kid for a couple of hours to watch it with philip ... fast forward to about a week or so ago and shes asked do you still need me to babysit and i said im not sure .. and shes turned around and said well if i babysit your 2 it ok if you have mine for the night to go out on town for new bfs sisters .. now philip said he doesnt mind ...

but this is the thing philips asked her to go out .. plus she promised to take philip out for months and always never followed through .. now we're babysitting so she can go out and never even thought to ask philip (and they're suppose to be best friend) .. so now im not sure if i want her to have jayden as i feel she think we owe her but considering philip and myself have babysat her kids countless times so we are no way even ...

so the question is .. as it seems we are nothing but babysitters now ... do we use her as just the same or just leave it .. i hate feeling like i owe people as shes certainly not doing it as friendly bases .. so .. what you think? x
    :)Still searching .....:)

3, we've been here (both parks) which was lovely and quiet. Admittedly we went in Feb and Nov but due to their layout I can't imagine them getting rowdy. Depends what you're after - they don't have evening entertainment, just a pub/restaurant (DF is much better for families), a games room, a small pool and loads of outdoor space :)

    thanks everyone.

am ok as they didnt get in but i think they may have watched the house as DH always has his smokes out the back and when its warm we leave the door slight open (will never do that again) and they they have tried just incase the doors were open.

i'm sure bad things will happen them :D<

 Jillie How awful! Did it wake you?

Lady Thank you for your suggestions, i've bookmarked them.

Becles And yours. :p Although I don't think I could face Scotland again any time soon. (No offence to my lovely Scottish friends).

I'd have a scan every week if I could. It was the only proof that there was actually a baby in there iykwim.

    Searchie What's your question?

MFD I just remembered I gave you quite a short/rude reply yesterday when you asked about the social worker. I meant to come back and answer properly but forgot.

He came, with his boss and he (and she) were very helpful. :D
They managed to double J's playscheme days over the summer holidays for me. We have to pay, but it's worth it - we get a break and he loves it there.
He chased up the behaviour assessment people from his phone while he was here - they've posted me an appointment yesterday.
He arranged an appointment for next Tuesday with me, him and a lady from the carers agency to find us a carer for 3 hours a week.
And he's started the very long process for us getting respite care.

I've almost typed up a draft of my complaint-in-writing? Would anyone like to read/edit it? I'm trying not to be ranty but it's hard when i'm close to exploding internally.
