Maz, it's aqueous calamine... It's calamine lotion but in a cream form rather than liquid so it's easier to apply and doesn't dry out... You can get it on prescription...
Talking baout prescriptions... I got Aimee a new one... She has to take it for an extra 3 days... Lesson learned I think!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

you have to give them a reasonable amount of time to respond, personally I would think 2 weeks at which point you send them a letter giving them another week then if still no response another letter called 'letter before action' where you tell them you will take them to court but that is just based on taking my landlady to court. Have you also tried the consumer advertising standards or whatever it is - not sure what this should be... anyone?I would wait a week from when you first told them you wanted a refund and then send them a letter outlining why you expect a refund ideally quoting some legal stuff about why you should get one. Give them a deadline by which you should have the refund and tell them that if you haven't received it by whatever date (I'd probably say 14 days as you need to give them "reasonable" time and that shows that you have been reasonable) then you will initiate a claim through the small claims court.
Thank you both (and SS).
Two weeks seems to be the general opinion, but i'm impatient, and I want my refund so I can take my children on a happy fun holiday before the end of the school holidays.
My uncle, who paid, is disgusted with them, and is upset that it was him who suggested it! How was he to know? But he's said to make sure I get the refund, and spend it on something fun. :A
My mum is still really upset, looks like crap and hasn't eaten since Sunday. We're incredibly different in our reactions, she's still very upset that they have upset her grandchildren (and daughter) so much. I'm more angry and want to kill someone.
I asked verbally for a refund on Sunday before I left. I asked the boss for a refund by email at 3am Monday.
I'm in the process of typing a more detailed email to the company as a sort of official 'in writing' complaint.
We have a slight update. I put a paypal dispute on the payment when I got back Sunday night/Monday morning. The person i'd booked with no longer works for them (although she's still involved in some way).
This person sent me a message through facebook asking me why i'd disputed the payment, and would I take the dispute off as it's her personal paypal account (it's in the company name) she doesn't have that sort of money, and it now has nothing to do with her.
I've told her i'm still waiting to hear from anyone about it, and she said she'd forward my details to the boss.
She's asked me again to remove the dispute, and i've ignored her today. I have no intention of doing it because at the moment she's the only contact i'm getting, and i'm thinking if the dispute is there, she might pressure someone else to get in touch?
I'm sure you'll all be sick of hearing about this by the time i've finished!Just reading back to this morning. There have been many things said on here that are judgemental, off hand I can think of a few. There are also some people who do it more than others. I tend to read those posts with a pinch of salt. There's also some folk who in real life I'd honestly avoid, but if I want to stay on this thread, I tend to just not read what they type. We are a judgemenatl lot, it's part and parcel of having so many parents in one place.
Well said Tia. :T
(Unless i'm one of those you'd avoid in real life. If that is the case, it's the biggest pile of shiote i've ever read! :rotfl:)

All babies are different - some sleep through fairly early on and others are over one and still not sleeping through. Eventually I think it can get to a point where they are waking up out of habit or for comfort rather than that they are hungry but based on your description of typical feeding routine, it really does sound like he is waking because he is hungry.
Yeah IA, I deffo think he is hungry when he wakes cos then he wouldnt drink the milk if he wasnt, a couple of times he's woke and only had 2oz but then I think he's been too hot or cold
MM I am a soppy git so I will remember to take the tissues lol

Oscar's not taken to weaning very well:( anything that needs chewing he thows up but if I give him it pureed he is fine so deffo not the taste thats the problem just the texture. A bit weird to me as Everything goes in his mouth.
Hope all LO are feeling better.
DawnI am giving him finger foods but have to make sure not to let him have them near mealtimes otherwise he seems to vomit on them worse?
Other professionals that come round have been trying to get a hv round for 4 weeks. Tried weetabix with fomula again this morning..... not a nice result:(.
Think I am going to stop soild food from today just formula and stage 1 jars. (if you don't mix the packets right he throws up). He is sucking on a piece of toast (crust off) as he kept shouting at DD for a bit. Will see how he goes.
Thank you all for the help and advice.
This is why I love all of you on here, one of you is always able to help. x
omg!! i am having the eaxct same problem but Kian wont take anything from a spoon apart from a yogurt, puree or desserts.
he is 10mths. he doesnt throw up though just cries... and shuts his mouth
when i asked the HV she told me that i had let Kian get in control of me and that i had to not give him a bottle when he was hungry so he would eat the food.
if we can get him to have a few piece of potato/veg/meat its a success. he was eating from a spoon but has taken a dislike to this as well.
a few RL mummies i have spoken to have said the same thing happened with 1 of theirs and that they tried to relax and make sure they were eating when LO was meant to be eating and just used words of encouragement when LO ate something. Finger foods are better for us as Kian seems to prefer what he does eat, with his fingers.
Kian seems to eat better at nursery and we think this is because everyone else is eating too. and in fact at the last parents meet, he did eat more (and swiped some bread from his birthday buddy lol).
i do get stressed by it all and i always feel a bit 'aagh' when other peeps seem to have no problems at all with weaning.
i just have to keep saying that he will eat eventually and he is just being awkward :rotfl:
as long as he is still growing and putting weight on i see no reason to overly panic, anything i have seen in 'nhs books' seems to suggest that if they are still not eating at 1yr that they would 'look into it further'.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Oh Maz, another poor little one
I'm going to need to raid this place to find some chocolate. I'm not sure cocopops will do the trick, but I may have to resort to them if I can't find any other option.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Has anyone else seen it and can offer a more balanced view?
Can I just ask everyone not to post any spoilers as I'm going to see it on Thursday. I'll let you know then what I think.
Bought tickets to watch it on the IMAX so at least I can hide behind the big glasses

Don't remove the dispute! Once you have closed it, you can't reopen it at later date. She probably knows this which is why she is pestering you to remove it.
*hoping I'm not one Tia would avoid too*
Really tough boot camp session this evening. Did the usual run round the field and some daft races to warm up, then went into circuit training and hill runs. She really pushed us and it was so intense that I felt a bit sickHere I go again on my own....0 -
I made chicken curry and rice for dinner, which we ate at 7.30. Its now 8.30 and OH is eating the biggest bowl of cereal I've ever seen. !!!!!!? He contributes hardly anything towards food and groceries, what he's eating now would have fed me for 3 breakfasts and theres now none left for me in the morning either! He doesnt like nuts, so next time I'll have to make sure I buy one with nuts in, but I like this one
He doesnt see why this has annoyed me!!Mummy to

3 it seems weird to me that you had to pay to someone's personal paypal account! I absolutely agree to keep the dispute going with them for the time being. Have you had any response from anyof the charities or media people you've contacted?0

3 - for the record I'm not getting bored of your updates. I'm cross on your behalf and impatient for them to pay up so you can go somewhere nice! Do you have anywhere else in mind, or are you trying not to spend the money in your head before you get it back?
