After a very long feed Thomas seems to be back to normal for now. He's smiling and gurling and kicking on his mat. Last time he got very fractious in the evening, which was sorted by calpol so will keep an eye on that again this evening. He's whinging again now so I guess he needs my company to keep him happy until he's feeling better so better disappear for now.

Sugar - fingers crossed you've got the answer to your problems

Oh yes, and they were very happy. Wanted to go shopping straight away for baby clothes and toys. So I disappointed them when I said 'not yet'. I'm not sure when to start that kind of thing? I felt bad as a couple of them were really excited about doing it all right now.

Agree with Lady about not buying till nearer the time....are you going to find out whether its another girl or not....

Maybe you could get them to put some money away each week/month and then go on a spending spree with them nearer the time... they could buy the baby something big then between them - just an idea (might be silly I dont know what you think)
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

MOTM - tell me to booger off for being nosey, but I was wondering how the sharing arrangements work with bedrooms in your house and how baby will fit in? I remember you sayng it was a big house, but I didn't know how big. I always wonder with those of you with a big brood. From here with our two bedrooms it all seems a bit overwhelming!

I wondered why I couldn't log in after buying all this food that we don't need and then I realised I had food on the brain and had typed ManOnTheFood. Hmmmm.

SJ, will you be bringing cakes to birmingham on the 12th?

I can do if you'd like? I was wondering earlier how your ms is at the moment? Hopefully getting better. Lovely pics btw.

    Thank you :)

It's a bit better than it was first thing but come bedtime it's not pleasant... Still can't eat sweet things without getting a really bitter taste... Also don't fancy them at all eaither  It is most unlike me but I'm getting a feel of what it's like for those people who aren't bothered by eating every waking moment... Sure it will wear off eventually lol...

Do you have to buy everything afresh, or do you have some bits left over from last time? A lot of people don't like buying things until the last few months, as they don't want to jinx things. And there will be some things that you might not want to get until baby is here if you don't find out what flavour you are expecting. It doesn't hurt to start working out what you need though :)

Yes. We have nothing left that I know of. Chucked some, gave to charity shops the rest as I thought we'd never need it again, or at least by the time the girls needed baby things they'd be out of date etc.

I suppose by starting over, the new things can also be kept back for the girls if/when they need it in the future.

Getting a list together is a good idea.

We'll ask for the gender once it's possible to know, which I believe is 20 weeks.

I like that idea. We want them to be as involved as possible and that would be something they can do each week to get involved. We'll include them in all the lists etc. I didn't even need to ask Lucy if it was okay to get them involved as she suggested it. She's really fit in and although they call her 'Lucy' they have grown so attached to her, she is in all but name a Mother to them and even in a few months, the girls have grown as people because of it, I believe.

Well, it's 2 fairly big houses knocked into 1, so we have 8 bedrooms. At the top of each set of stairs, their is a decent size landing, so with the walls gone, it's one big piece of landing area that i've been thinking of turning into a bedroom, but I shall worry about that when the kids go back to school in September and maybe get someone in.

Naturally, the baby will be in with us for a while, so no panic just yet.

And i'd never tell you to booger off....well, maybe if being nosey was too personal :rotfl:

Time to go and have a party.
