Sami, if you're still around... Your super efficient fairies arrived today, thank you
Maz and JM... My not so efficient fairies flew today...
Mfd, great news for the interview and the weightloss!
SJ, will you be bringing cakes to birmingham on the 12th?A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Lots of good news round here by the sounds of it. MOTM did you tell the girls yet?!
I have a right grump here. Very cross and saying "no" to everything I suggest she might want to do/eat/play with. Except beebies. So now she is happily watching big barn farm. I have a right telly addict here!
Quick question before I go see if I can tempt her with some food - has anyone seen tommee tippee napy wrapper refils on offer anywhere?
Oh yes, and they were very happy. Wanted to go shopping straight away for baby clothes and toys. So I disappointed them when I said 'not yet'. I'm not sure when to start that kind of thing? I felt bad as a couple of them were really excited about doing it all right now.
Well I hope she continues to enjoy Big Barn Farm. It'll be no time before it's Question Time and Newsnight0 -
Ladybird - Asda Baby Event, 3 cassettes for £8. Not sure if this is a good price or not.
MFD. Fab news on both counts. Good luck with the interview.0 -
I've got a bit more time for a proper reply this time
MOTM - huge congrats, and I agree with SJ, what a lovely way to start a pregnancy
Kindof - yay for Elliott's tooth. When did he first start teething? T has been in a lot of pain off and on this last week. He's been crying while feeding (totally unheard of!), very flushed, and putting all his toys and hands in his mouth. We've been lucky with his sleeping from an early age. He goes to bed at 8.30ish straight after last feed, sleeps till 4 when he wakes up for another feed then back to bed until 7ish. Very few naps in the day tho so I guess you can't have everything.
MFD - yay for interview and even bigger yay for weightloss :T
As I mentioned before we were running late for T'ss jabs. We didnt have time to walk so had to drive to the doctors. When we got there I noticed everyone was pouring out of the centre. I pulled into the carpark but it was full, and a drill officer made me abandon the car and go and stand on the path with everyone else!
This meant they were running late so we had to wait for aaaages for our appointment. When we went in T kept smiling and laughing at the nurse. This seemed to make her really nervy and she kept saying she felt really guilty. T absolutely howled after first one, then on 2nd one she slipped (she said he wriggled but I dont think she did) and she scratched his leg and spilt some of the vaccine on my jeans. She said it would be ok as 80% went in but coz she was so nervy in general didnt sound too confident  She didnt put any cottonwool on and he has dried blood caked all over his leg and his shorts.
He seems to be more badly affected by it this time and got hysterical during a nappy change, properly screaming to the point where he had me tearful so I'm now cuddling and bfing a nearly
naked baby. (he weed on his vest lol)
So much for my plans of tidying living room & doing some holiday unpacking while he had a nice long sleep!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

Thanks
Sorry for your bad experienceHopefully it will have no long lasting effect on him. You need 100% confidence in these people and it doesn't sound like you had that in this nurse.

Nice chatting with everyone today and thanks for all the advice.
Best be off to the shops to buy the food to have this 'party'. I bet I get less than the girls do and have to pay for it all0 -

That sounds lovely SJ - you're a proper wedding/event team
I recommend buying Alfie a camera asap
Gill, what a horrible experience for you both. I hope T's ok very quickly, sometimes the jabs really take it out of them.
Snotty baby is awake again and seems to have slept off the worst of it. She no longer has caterpillars on her upper lip and is smiley and not-clingy once more.
And in small news from me, I was working on an assignment for my counselling course this afternoon where I was supposed to write down a problem and roleplay both counsellor and counsellee and I may have come to a solution to my work/home balance dilemma, which could easily involve satisfying all our current problems re where to live/what to do/how to afford a second baby. Need to consult with Husband, but it feels very optimistic to me.

MFD - good news re interviewMum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Gill what a rubbish day for you
Have you tried a bit of calpol? We found Izzy was fine with the first set of jabs, but then had a reaction to the second set, but a bit of calpol helped. I seem to remember that she randomly slept through after the second set too, but I don't want to get your hopes up too much

Do you have to buy everything afresh, or do you have some bits left over from last time? A lot of people don't like buying things until the last few months, as they don't want to jinx things. And there will be some things that you might not want to get until baby is here if you don't find out what flavour you are expecting. It doesn't hurt to start working out what you need thoughworkinmummy wrote: »Ladybird - Asda Baby Event, 3 cassettes for £8. Not sure if this is a good price or not.

Oh WM, that is fab, ta! I didn't even know they had a baby event on at the mo, if I get out early tomorrow again I will go have a peep at what they've got.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009
