MOTM, don't want to dampen the mood but the first GP visit usually isn't that exciting, just a lot of form filling in my case. The home tests are so accurate that they don't need to check again. The big thing is the 12 weeks scan, you have to post pics on here then! Are you changing jobs?

I hate forms :o 12 weeks....time yet then. I will post pics if Lucy allows me (no, i'm not owned, she's just not one for sharing on the internet) More about job below.

MOTM, I had breakfast this late because I was insanely busy all day and didn't have time to eat. I did manage half a 1l bottle of diet Coke though *is embarrassed; can't find the embarrassed smiley code* Normally I prefer to have it at a normal time. But then I also prefer to have normal breakfast food, as opposed to leftover chicken and beans :)

Well, it sounds like fun.....apart from the Diet Coke :o
You won't get your "official" due date until your booking in appointment (with midwife) anyway, and that may change again at the 12 week (dating) scan if there's much difference.

    Are you quitting your job?

Will the GP book us in with the midwife tomorrow? Or do we have to do that ourselves? I'm so bad remembering what we did 10/11 years ago.

With regards the job, we had some land we've been looking to sell for a couple of years, but the chap buying it wanted to do it without solicitors involved. He'd bought land off a couple of other people adjacent without solicitors, but these were old people who weren't sure what they were doing and had a nice price for their age, if that's not too patronising - it will see them through comfortably. I wasn't keen so went down the official route and got over 3 times what he offered originally. He paid it as others were interested and without our land he couldn't go ahead with his plans, so he was annoyed that he hadn't ripped us off and had to pay more, but happy he can now go ahead and build his set of homes.

Anyway, this means a nice big sum finally went into my bank account a couple of weeks ago (took months!) and I decided that will see us through for a fair few years and that with the plans of having a baby with Lucy, i'd quit my job and look into starting my own business in a couple of years.

Lucy is quitting her job as well as she's not happy anymore and she wants to be as happy as can be whilst pregnant, so Thursday, little known to her, we're going shopping for all the art/craft materials she wants to give her something she enjoys whilst she's pregnant.

    So, big changes.

Had a class day out. Doctor Who exhibition is brilliant. There was loads of costumes, models and props there with boards telling you which series and episode they were from and film clips of the show.

Some moved, like they had the shop manakins that came alive and shot people, and all of a sudden they moved which made the boys jump :D

The best bit was when we were taken into an empty room, then all the lights went out. A dalek voice said there were intruders in the room and we'd have to be scanned. Noises were made and the dalek voice identified us as humans. Davros lit up and told us there was no escape and we'd have to be exterminated, then daleks lit up and began shooting lasers while yelling exterminate. Then we heard the tardis noise and the exit door lit up as the tardis door and the Doctor shouted at us to run inside. It was really good, but poor Charlotte was terrified and was hanging round my neck absolutely shaking! She thought it was funny when we got back outside though?!

Pics on Facebook for those who've added me.
Here I go again on my own....

It's not always been this way, so won't get too comfortable.

I had a difficult upbringing, so it was a surprise when my mother left me a house and land, as all us kids thought she'd leave it to anyone other than any of us (i'm one of 9) especially as she had lived in a home for years.

The sentence she used in her will. 'I leave the house and land at the back to my son xxxxx, who out of all of my children, is the only one who has made any real effort to succeed in life'

My Mum didn't get much right in life, but looking at my siblings, she has a point. (and they really don't like me)
