I am getting concerned that my street might float away under the MONSOON outside the window.

MFD I'm glad Benjamin is feeling better.

:j for E's tooth! (Since you asked, Molly rarely sleeps through the night, but she will go through 5-6 hour stretches a couple of times a week so there's only a 12-1am wake up rather than the extra 3-4am one).

Molly's birthday's only eight days away  I don't know whether to plan something or not.

Edit: 3, I'm trying to think of something that might help you, but I'm not there yet. I'm not ignoring you though :)

  • Kindof - it kinda depends what you call 'through the night' LOL. If you class it as not waking you once you got to bed until morning (albeit early morning) lots of people would say LO slept through reasonably early. If you mean putting them down at 7 and them not waking until next morning I guess it will be much less.

Could you try to introduce a little more food into your day to see if that has any effect?

And also - I don't think that this has been discussed before, I don't think I have even thought it before - I would introduce savouries before I introduced too many sweet flavours. You are honing his tastebuds for the rest of his life.
Based on absolutely nothing at all other than my own tired mind.
Glad to hear Benjamin is feeling better and hope you;re not too tired from being up so much, MFD.

My mum has just called in to take Alfie for a walk down to M&S. I really ought to take all my tins, dishes, equipment etc out of the big cupboard in the dining room and put it all back in a more secure and organised way but I don;t know if I can be bothered, despite the fact that I currently risk my life (almost lol) every time I try to remove something from it. I call it the jenga cupboard!

    Food first anyway.

We all have a cupboard like that somewhere SJ...probably next to the draw where you nearly trap your fingers poking things down when you try to shut it :rotfl::rotfl:

I have had a very interesting meeting this morning which put some more potential opportunities on my horizon so it has kept me awake. Will take advantage of the situation and pick up Benjamin early and spend some time chilling with him at home this afternoon though

    - it is a Which Best Buy for safety but they ship them over from Germany so you don't often get to see them in the flesh so to speak. We took the plunge and love it!

Caz - the only thing that I did wonder is if Charlie may not like it because he is used to a normal seat IYKWIM. Benjamin has only ever known his maxi cosi baby seat and this but Idon't know if there might be a risk that a child who is used to a normal seat might not like being hugged in...

  • Sami - my SIL thinks the Stokke looks uncomfortable because when it is parent facing there is a pole between Benjamins legs. The pole is nowhere near Benjamin and he likes to put his feet up on it! But she still says it looks uncomfortable *shrug*

thanks for the reply MFD it was on a site i was reading? will have a look back to see if i can find it but have read so much i probably wont find it lol! Charlie isnt the skinniest of children so i couldnt see it as a problem with him!! He now has his DLA money so i was thinking it would be money well spent and hopfully the answer to my problem! would rather try one out first lol!

My Stokke arrives in 8 sleeps!

3 i never thought about the house insurance but it will be worth looking into! i would have thought they would have responded by now and even made a full refund!

Charlie slept through the night very early on but this changed when he his 18months, Erin slept a full night from around 7/8 months but at this poinbt we had moved house and she was put into her own room so im not sure if i was waking her?

Thanks everyone for their comments. We are kind of confused about due dates now with the literature we are now armed with.

We know it was 3 weeks ago we tried and we know Lucy is definitely pregnant as she has 3 positive tests. I assumed, seemingly wrongly, that this meant she was 3 weeks pregnant - the first lot were pleasant surprises, so no planning or anything. According to literature, it doesn't mean she's 3 weeks pregnant at all, she could be less.

Anyway, lunch went well and the girls are all very excited and wanted to go shopping for baby things straight away. We thought it a bit too early and wanted GP reassurances etc first, so they were disappointed.

I don't know if my posts show it, but we are excited yet anxious as we are now unsure over due date, although I suppose this isn't a big issue as we'll find out soon enough. I just assumed April as we tried in July. What a plum :p

some people eh MFD :p The pole was something that put me off it when I first saw them as I thought you would have trouble with putting a blanket over their knees but seeing as I rarely put a blanket on the boys knees because it gets kicked off and or dragged on the floor it wouldn't be an issue now I've got mummy experience ;) I know that a snow suit is a much easier option :)

3 and sugar I think you've got some virus-y thing on your FB, its just come up in my feed that you both like IF ANYBODY SENDS ME ANYMORE MORE FARMVILLE REQUEST I AM GOING TO BURN YOUR CROPS AND KILL YOUR ANIMA... on ♥.
but that leads to some dodgy phishing site more than likely (i've not clicked obviously)

Yeah I mean from him going to bed at 7.30pm till 5am or so?

I havent given him anything sweet? he's only had baby rice and pear puree (which is all first food tastes according to the book I have)

I am only just starting to wean him properly from yesterday so only want to give him one meal a day for now

E is in size 3 Baby Dry nappies, but we have about 70 of them left and I want to get nappies in the asda event, I tried him on a 4+ (we got a box reduced cos the box was bashed) and it fit him, should I buy 4's or just go straight to 4+'s or should I try the active fit ones?

ETA or should I just get him active fit when he is moving more?
