It means I really can be properly here for Lucy.

The current clan I was out working to pay the bills and feel I missed out in the early years to a point.

True, but i'm not one to take anything for granted.

Pretty similar here. Hope it doesn't rain as i've been told we're going down the shop to get some celebratory party food :cool:

MOTM - lucky you being a gentleman of leisure for a while like you will get a chance with your brood!!


My employment situation has been down the swanney for some time now and the pressure is on to find gainful equivalent employment before the end of September. I am fairly high profile in my little field but have little in the way of relevant qualifications...so it is a boost to get an interview for a well paid post on the basis of my CV and covering letter.

Sorry, I know that is vague but if I gave you the job title a simple google of 3 words would take you to the exact job and I don't want to do that

I do have lots of qualifications, just not relevant ones :rotfl::rotfl:

It's nice. I have DH here at home with me in the daytime as he is a dj so only ever works when Alfie is in bed which is great for us.

Yes, well i've no plans. I'm sure i'll be kept busy. Househusband type 24/7 rather than sharing it with computers and screws and the like. If I do find some spare time, i'll come on here extra and annoy you all with questions

It's great for all concerned, especially the little one. It's better than the other option and that's work your butt off and never see the children growing up.

Afternoon all.

Lots of good news round here by the sounds of it. MOTM did you tell the girls yet?!

I have a right grump here. Very cross and saying "no" to everything I suggest she might want to do/eat/play with. Except beebies. So now she is happily watching big barn farm. I have a right telly addict here!

Quick question before I go see if I can tempt her with some food - has anyone seen tommee tippee napy wrapper refils on offer anywhere?
