Susan, is it you who collects stamps? I kept some off a parel from Poland recently if you'd like them? (I just need to find the 'safe place' I put them!)
Yes please - let me know when you find them and I'll PM you my address.
Hmmmmm. 9 months of pregnancy or 7 days of belly ache.

    Choices choices. :p
But it would be 63 days of belly ache because you'd have it every month.

get well vibes to Jillies house!

wrap the pram in bubble wrap and clingfilm, thats what i have done everytime and had no problems, if it is a travel system them 2 couriers will be needed. If someone has offered the full price and wants it posted then i would be more willing to do that than hold on to it and the local buyer not turning up?

Talking of prams i have been offered a Stokke at £150! not thats theres any chance if me buying it just now after booking a few days away! but how typical is that lol!

Just been to pick up my tickets and today will be packing and getting ready!
Hope you all have a lovely meet today xx

Oh I do ladybird, but a lot of the time she abandons me to play with whatever child she has spied from the corner of her eye. At that age I suppose where I'm only useful for pushing her on the swings (and I'd not run round the front when pushing her as last time she hoofed me in the chin!)

I'm really only at the park to provide her with her juice/grub on demand and the occasional £1 for an ice cream from the van :rotfl: What a user! It's much better when they are babies/toddlers, they want to play with you then, but Keira is SO sociable, she will go over and introduce herself to any other kid and probably forces them to play with her :rotfl:
That's what Alice is like now - she's just discovered that if she tells other children what to do then most of the time they will so she bosses them around.

I think she's turning into Keira - yesterday she showed me her thumb and said, "I've got blood."

Help! I'm trying to sell my old travel system and not had much interest locally...however, have had 2 different buyers off eBay asking if I can ship it to them. I bought it used, so no original boxes or anything - how do people package up prams/carseats/etc? I MAY have a box that the carseat + base may fit in, but deffo not the pushchair. Giant rolls of bubble wrap? :P (Beenie, you sold one on eBay - help!) (and how on earth would I weigh it, eek?)
for weighing just look up the manufacturer's spec and it'll tell you or you can attempt to balance it on the bathroom scales :p

So sympathetic ear but no answers. Do other people's DHs just have better jobs or what? B'c i'd love to know how others step down to a single income!
We didn't exactly step down to a single income as between getting married and getting pregnant I didn't really get a lot of work (I earned around £2k over a year and OH's earnings increased by more than that) but we do have a relatively low income (the second decile based on the budget report). The reason we are comfortable on one income is
    a) We live in a cheap area of the country.
    b) We are fairly frugal - not just because we have to be but because we choose to be.
    c) Being at home means I have time to do things which save us money that I wouldn't be able to do if I had a job so our costs (leaving aside direct costs of working such as travel, work clothes and childcare) would be higher if I was employed.
    d) We don't have debts.
    e) We managed to buy a house really cheaply because it was a repossession and had certain features which we liked that made it unappealing to buy-to-letters (such as a large garden which was overgrown).
    f) We don't like shopping.

ETA I meant to say that therefore a lot of the things which help us are not really deliberate on my part - we just happen to live in a cheap part of the country and although it took a year of looking to find it, the house was just one of those things you hope to find but never actually expect to and I hapened to marry someone with no debt so it's not like I'm doing loads of things which you could/should be doing - some of it is just circumstances.

Not the blood  Keira banged her toe against her pram and cut it, my god you'd think it was something major the way she was going on. Don't get me started on a splinter she had, I literally had to pin her down and calm her, when she seen me approaching with some tweezers.......:o

Meh, not happy. I called Leaders to find out what time todays viewing was (mummy brain made me forget :p) and i find out they booked another one in for 2:30pm.

I said i wasn't told about it and she said "Well yeah its 2:30pm, thats ok ISN'T IT?" ¬¬

    And we have 3 tomorrow.
I know they usually put it in the contract that they can have viewings in the last month of your contract but that sounds unreasonable. If they're having that many viewings, they should be having group viewings at times agreed with you rather than them just telling you at short notice and having a constnat stream of people.

He makes me laugh so much, yesterday morning he came to me asking to be picked up and was pointing and 'that'-ing at his thick winter coat which was hung on the back of a dining chair. So I let him get it and he gave it to me and stuck his arms out straight for me to put it on....so the strange child spent about 40 mins playing in the house with his thick winter coat on :rotfl::rotfl:
Alice is like that - when it was witner and she put loads of clothes on I used to wonder if she was too cold and I wasn't putting enough clothes on her but she still does it when it's really hot. Sometimes she goes to bed in shorts and a short sleeve T-shirt and we find her later wearing three long sleeved T-shirts and sweating like anything.
