Not the blood  Keira banged her toe against her pram and cut it, my god you'd think it was something major the way she was going on. Don't get me started on a splinter she had, I literally had to pin her down and calm her, when she seen me approaching with some tweezers.......:o
She didn't even actually have any blood either.

    Good morning all,

I was a really mean mummy this morning because I hooked Benjamins dummy onto his elephant's trunk!! He couldn't get it off so if he wanted to suck on his dummy he had to hold the elephant up to his face - hubby and I were crying with laughter :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    :rotfl::rotfl:

S does something similar, when we go to asda and he keeps throwing his on the floor I put it on my finger like a ring, and he bows down and sucks it still attached :rotfl:
    Mummy to
    DS (born March 2009)

    DD (born January 2012)
  • Jillie - it is most likely just a phase and as soon as his mouth changes shape again he won't be able to do it the same. Benjamin went through a horrible phase of making gargling noises which I hated but he soon moved onto something else.

Distraction is probably the best thing - either with a drink or a snack so he has something to occupy his mouth maybe?

Susan - I remember you saying Alice puts coats etc on before. I just let him get on with it!

my boys do/did that *shudder* I generally tickle them so they laugh and therefore stop until they're old enough to understand just telling them not to, I hope Kian is ticklish :D

  • tickle - do you have a different routine on a Sunday that means she doesn't sleep so well? Because we try to get up later on a Sunday morning I try to put him to bed a little later too to kind-of balance it out IYSWIM.

But at least she does it when you are off work ;)

Edit - em :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Silly boys!

I know they usually put it in the contract that they can have viewings in the last month of your contract but that sounds unreasonable. If they're having that many viewings, they should be having group viewings at times agreed with you rather than them just telling you at short notice and having a constnat stream of people.
Exactly what i think. They always wake Lily up and its annoying.
They left me a message to tell me there is another viewing tomorrow at 9am! They dont even ask anymore :( thats 4 tomorrow now.

thanks guys...at the moment i have been distracting him, which as he's so nosy/curious at the moment is pretty easy. when he grinds them i have been giving him a toy to play with. i think he's practising chewing. so will try a bit of a breadstick next time.

and....last night we went for a meal (mum's treat) Kian was eyeing up our food so i gave him some roast beef...ate small pieces, had some roast parsnip and some potato and then had nearly a whole jar of a pear dessert. :D think he's getting the hang of eating now. he even had 4 spoons of weetabix (mixed with his fave fromage frais) this morning

i'm so happy bout this i could cry :o:)

  • Aw jillie - bless you / K :D we knew he would get there in the end.

Benjamin loves small pieces of veg as a snack :o every few days I boil up a load of potato / parsnip / carrot / whatever and put in in a tupperware container in the fridge. Then Benjamin goes in the fridge gets the container out and helps himself to little cubes of veg....

....until the container is empty and he brings it to me in tears :o :rotfl:
