Hi Aless, I asked the same question on here backawhile and suggestions I had were using bubble wrap and cling film type stuff to make it secure and could use bin bags to go over the top. I was also gonna have to do 2 parcels so I think I quoted about £25 for courier but said I would confirm once it was all parcelled up. I was gonna ask at lidl or somewhere too if they had big boxes I could take, but someone local bought it in the end, phew!!

morning... we have a sick household :(

i was sick in the early hours and then Kian has been sick, just as we were getting ready to leave. So unfortunatley we wont be going to Liverpool. am disappointed as i do like liverpool and would have been lovely to meet SS and Molly.

jenny- i dropped from full time to working 3 days a week. and i love it. what i have lost in earnings is made up be the Tax Credits. Kian is in nursery 2 days a week and then 1 weeks he goes to PIL and the next he stays with daddy. i love the 3 days. i dont work them together so for me its more enjoyable. I havent missed anything that Kian has started to do and he loves nursery. childminders are mainly cheaper than a nursery. the only problem i had was that almost all of them had no places for a baby under 1 as they are usually only able to have 1. and their own children count to the numbers.

i guess if we have another things will work out just fine. would keep Kian at nursery at least one of the days as i imagine it would be wuite strange for him not to go. and it would give me a break as well.

i worried too long about being 'able to afford' a baby and now its something i regret. i wish i had had a baby some years ago.

  • Good morning all,

I was a really mean mummy this morning because I hooked Benjamins dummy onto his elephant's trunk!! He couldn't get it off so if he wanted to suck on his dummy he had to hold the elephant up to his face - hubby and I were crying with laughter :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This comes after having a conversation with hubby yesterday that we shouldn't tease Benjamin so much because he is to little to understand what is real and when we are kidding :o

Big hugs to Jillie and Kian - I hope it passes quickly for you both.

LOL at Benjamin MFD - what a mean mummy you are :) That's a good story for the future tho :)

Doh just realising that T and I have nothing to do today and could have gone to liverpool if i'd thought things through and got our bums out of bed a bit earlier lol
