:whistle:Tantrums? We don't have any of those :whistle:
I am usually in full on distraction mode! And we now have a 'spare' of everything (remote, house phone, mobile, wii controller, hairdryer, etc) so that Benjamin can 'help' with everything. He even has his own duster (not sure who taught him that though LOL)please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
3 I'll be there!
Millie's Mum lovely to see you! Don't suppose you fancy a trip to Liverpool tomorrow?!0 -
Anyone know how early I can/should register Thomas with a dentist? He's 9 weeks and has no teeth lol
It's just that I've had a leaflet through the door about a local surgery taking on nhs patients. I'm going to register as I'm currently with one where I grew up (20 miles away!) and this one is within 10 mins walking distance. Would be handy to get T in at the same oneMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Gill - register you both at the same time...he doesn't need it yet but the sooner he gets used to going the easier it will be.
Which reminds me, I need to book us a family appointment.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I'd love to, but we'd have to leave after school drop off and be back for pick up so we'd probably have about 20mins in Liverpool!MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -

We were at a barbeque yesterday at my Aunties house. She has a cupboard full of toys from her grandchildren (8 & 3). V went rooting in the cupboard and brought the toy ironing board & iron out, set it up and started ironing discarded barbie clothes. :rotfl:
I've no idea where she's learnt how to do that.:beer:0 -
Beautiful pictures Tara and I'm pleased you had a lovely day xxMillie's_Mum wrote: »We are fine thanks although I am feeling like a bad mummy because we paid our first visit to casualty yesterday when El whacked her head on a table edge and needed stitches in her forehead.
Sorry to hear that and hope she feels better soon.
James was accident prone and had to go to A&E a number of times, so I know how you feel
I can't drink alcohol very well at all now. My body just can't seem to handle it. On holiday I wasn't having any alcohol until after our evening meal, and then it was just a couple of vodka tonic's, but I still had to have some nights off as I felt sickly
I had two glasses of wine last night and I've felt really sick and headachey for most of the dayHere I go again on my own....0 -

Hello,
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.
Love the photos Tara - you all look so happy. I am glad you had a great day and it all seemed to work out.
Happy 4th July to Aless and Mrs Bruno!0 -
Thanks for all your comments today, sorry I haven't been on to reply until now, I tend to just read in the evening when Erin is in bed.
Aless - glad to know I'm not the only one in this situation. As you say though, we don't have any debt so are in a better situation than you. I hope we both manage to make it work somehow. I have £12k of student loan debt but do very well at not thinking about it!
Ladybird, thanks for your useful comments. I didn't know about the free nursery hours, will have to look into it. At the moment we can manage without the £200 but don't know if we would be better saving it for baby number 2.
Bruno, my life aims weren't high - get degree, get job, get a house (turned into a flat) and have a kid. So now I need new aims! I have two degrees so it seems odd to have worked all that time with the aim of getting a good job only to think now that I may not be able to afford to work in London.
Redmel, some very good points and thanks for sharing your experience. In my mind I wanted my kids about two years apart as that is the gap me and my sisters have and we are really close now but if it's just not viable then we may have to wait. All my family are back up north so way to far to babysitP.S. You have nothing to feel guilty about - you're not superwoman!
I know some of you are in much tighter financial situations and I don't mean to rub it in to anyone (sorry if it seemed that way) but it's still something I need advice on and I truly appreciate everyone's comments and think I have learnt a lot from everyone on this thread even though we are all in different situations.
Does anyone else have any views on working 4 day weeks? Not sure if anyone on here does that.
Tara - lovely wedding photos  it looks like you had a really good dayMum to DD born Oct 2009
