Called M&S and they said it takes up to a week to receive the paperwork... at least they are giving quick or instant decisions, unlike the GE card.
  • does anyone know if you can do a super balance transfer using this card as i wouldn't mind putting it towards a new car if they do?

If i apply for this card then make a balance transfer, I take it the usual principle of not spending on the card would apply?

Well, this doesn't apply across the board actually, but certainly is the case here.

Please see summary box, allocation of payments.

    In a word, No

This is a super deal, but not quite that super!

  • Hi littlemissfrugal,

I did a super balance transfer with virgin recently. They charge a balance transfer fee of 2%, capped at 35 pounds (I think).

There's also Mint and Abbey, I believe.

Thanks - applied for the 'old style' M&S card just before midnight and got my "Welcome to the exciting world of the &MORE Credit Card" email just after 8AM this morning...

I see they are now advertising the new offer instead.

For reference, received my credit agreement/paperwork from M&S today.

I wanted the 'old style' card so am happy - 3 days from applying online to getting the paperwork.

It may take a bit longer in future though, if lots of people are going to start applying for the 3.9% card.

    Regards

  • I'm hoping someone can help me. I've never had a credit card and today received the 'welcome to the exciting world of the &MORE card' email. I've currently gone over my agreed overdraft limit with my bank, will I be able to transfer my balance over from my bank, or can you only balance transfer from other credit/store cards? I have read the articles regarding balance transfers on here which have proved very helpful, I'm only asking because on some cards it mentions balance transfers from current accounts/credit cards while on others it mentions just credit cards. As you can probably tell I'm new to all this so if anyone could answer me I'd be very grateful!
Maybe you're the same as me, we see things they'll never see...
