Thanks OP. I've applied for the LOB on this one. I applied at around 1pm and got my email about 4pm.

I already have an M&S &More card, and my husband is an additional cardholder on my account. As he therefore doesn't actually have an account with them, does this mean he could apply for their new card, or will the fact that he is an additional cardholder affect this?

being an additional card holder wont affect it xx

If i apply for this card then make a balance transfer, I take it the usual priciple of not spending on the card would apply?

Anyone know the monthly equivalant for the 3.9% annual rate please?

(just trying to work out what is better for spreading a £3000 debt over a year or so)

The monthly rate for 3.9%, if you divided it by 12, would be 0.325%. This is a guess, but I think the actual monthly APR on this offer would be 0.348% based on the actual (Effective) APR being 6.5% more than if you just divided by 12 (Simple).

As an example, on M&S' summary page (http://www6.marksandspencer.com/pages/default.asp?PageId=SB&Product=CC) their effective & published APR is 16.9% but the simple APR is 15.8%, while their monthly APR is 1.32%. If you divided 15.8 by 12 you'll find that it's 1.32.
  • Hi,

Seems like a pretty good deal. Does anyone know if I can apply for the card if I already have a HSBC credit card?

    Thanks in advance.
  • To the people who are successfully getting one of these cards - what sort of credit limits are you getting??

They don't state the limit in the email and I haven't received any paperwork yet. Will let you know when I do.
