Get out, get out GET OUT!

I have been there, in that situation, too scared to leave my front door. Get out ,once you are out he CANNOT hurt you. Ask a neighbour if you can use a phone to get a taxi, get to the police station and tell them what is going on. They should be able to help you.

I hope you are out now and safe. WA will be able to help you if you haven't already reached them. Your priority now must be you and your child of course - but if you can update us, then do. Thinking of you.

  • Everyone is going to flame me now, but I have to say this.

There's a good chance this poster is real, and like everyone else here, I do hope she's safe now. However, there is a tiny chance that this is a hoax, or even worse, a man who is trying to locate someone in Ayr who is already in the refuge. Please be careful what you send by pm.

And a million apologies to the OP if she is real -I hope she'll understand my caution.

They don't advertise refuge address'...the addresses that have been given are a starting point for people and then they are transferred to a refuge.

The info already given is easily accessible but you will find refuges are in unusual places like a non descript house in a housing estate purely for that reason - so that they can't be easily found.

OP - well done for being so brave and if you keep us posted that would be great...there's lots of people who will be thinking of you.

Well done again...you clever brave girl :)

I can't quite see how this would reveal someone's location. But I am concerned that OP's partner may be on to this thread sooner or later. He knows something is up and may find this on the pc...

That would only cause a problem if she is still there or goes back to him...if she is away then she is safe

She said she was going to clear all the history as well

he'd forgot his phone. we have no landline, but a phone each. however, he took both phones with him. when i tried to beg him to leave my phone he pushed me aside and told me i wouldn't be needing it. stay in the house, daughter doesn't need to go to nursery in the morning can go on friday. i'm scared, but i've waited and don't see him coming back now. but if he decided to he can't phone me to tell me he is coming as he has my phone too :( he is very very controlling of me and i don't know if it was that he left is phone or partly to get my phone. he wants to cut me off completely from everything.

These quotes don't quite ring true but I hope I'm wrong!
  • Concerned that a kind reader who has knowledge of the location might pm the OP to reassure her regarding its whereabouts - unlikely, but I have first hand experience of the deviousness of those searching for a partner who has escaped to a refuge.

However, I don't want to dwell on this, as it is not very likely. It was worth saying though. If genuine, I'm sure the OP will understand given that she needs protection.

My concern wasn't the OP not being real. . . sounds real to me :) But I am concerned he finds this. It's easy to forget to remove the history especially a second time and if he finds this......
