Do you have a friend you can leave things with? Even if you can't stay with them, it will help.

Phone these Women's Aid right now. They may be able to suggest how you can get to a hostel without a car.

You could also try the social services duty team who can also help to find you a place in a refuge, and help to get you there if you can't get there on your own. The emergency contact details can usually be found on the county council website for your area.

Don't worry, they're used to helping people who are in very difficult situations and don't know if they're coming or going. They'll understand, just pluck up courage and give it a go. You've had the strength to get your bags sorted, this is the last bit you need to do to make you and your daughter safe.

Just phone them and talk to them and take it from there. Nobody should be being hit in their own home (or elsewhere). Take care of yourself, and your child.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

You can do it. You've got over the hardest part - the decision to leave.

A refuge may pay for a taxi for you perhaps??? Explain to them your window of opportunity is now and ask for advice on getting there without transport or money.

Don't forget to take your Child Benefit bits and pieces.
