I have a question.

My income support is being changed over to fortnightly soon. Does that mean I'll be three weeks without money, whilst it changes over? I'm a little confused to be honest.:o2019 Wins

MY IS was changed over quite a while ago, and I don't even remember it to be honest. I know I was also offered a loan but didn't need it. Did you keep the letter that gives you the dates of payment? I was lucky that the dates didn't interefere in any of my direct debits being paid and I spend very little on groceries for 3 as I did the grocery challenge a while ago, and the habit stuck!Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

I'd have to dig out my old paperwork to say properly but it didn't cause me any great hardship at the time.
I did 'go without' money for a week, I think, but didn't apply for the loan. They did it in stages over a few weeks so I didn't go straight from one system to the other with a three week gap.
Don't worry - they give advance notice and tell you exactly what will happen and you can then decide whether you will need to take the loan.

Reverting back to the OP - I get that meds can puddle thinking processes but it's a bit worrying there is a solicitor out there who cannot grasp how it works from the paperwork! :eek:0

Your post is not even relevant to the thread discussion!
You should find that one of the questions they ask you when you apply for a crisis loan is if there are any friends or family (or anyone else) you can lend some money from.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

i dont honestly think anyone was, i think there is incredulation that the OP cannot work this out. i also believe that the MSE ethos also involves taking personal responsiblity for being money literate
Would that not be illegal, if they are a company providing a (albeit free) service that is giving advice to those that may have problems with being money literate or even thinking clearly? The DDA expects companies to make reasonable attempts to provide services accessible by the disabled/sick etc. To have any ethos that would discriminate against those with any mental problem/disablement/etc due to illness/disability or medication for example would I feel be on the dodgy side of the law surely?[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

So, if I am paid in arrears or not is irrelevant to me because the Government are forcing me to live on 8 days money over a 15 day period.
If you solicitor brother fancies a challenge, ask him to find out if a)they needed to do a disability impact assessment for the change in policy that will affect all those people, b) did they do one c)if not, can he use that as grounds for a judicial review.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
