I think my point is relevant, the government has offered you an interest free loan to help ease the pain from switching from weekly to fortnightly pay. if you do not want to take this its up to you to manage your money. If you have difficulty understanding that you are not losing any money ring the benefits agency and ask them to explain it you.

I understand now that I am being paid in arrears, posters have helped me comprehend that and I thank them. It is just going to be difficult to adjust and live on the 8 day payment over a 15 day period. I know about the loan but it still has to be paid back.

You 'have to' as the DWP have decided that it is a more streamlined way of working for them. You will not be losing money and they have offered you a small loan to assisy.

You 'have to' as you are claiming those benefits and have been for many years.

If you are unhappy with the way that the DWP choose to run their business then there is nothing to say that you have to take the benefits.

Why would I ask someone else for money when I have worked all my life until I had my accident?

Your post is not even relevant to the thread discussion!

Ooh, really? Who employed you as a toddler then? :p

How many people do you know in real life that this has happened to?

Do you not get any other income/benefit money that can tide you over?

I've always been paid fortnighly so it has never been an issue for me although I would of waited 2 weeks to get any money in the firstplace & you would of only had to wait 1 week.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

No, I just get child benefit and IB...my actual original IB was backdated because after my accident, I was in hospital for 4 months...I can't remember now when I first got it but think it took ages for them to sort it out.

Very hazy period after my accident due to the amount of morphine I was on and when released from hospital, still on morphine based tablets. :D

Child benefit ends next month, daughter is going to University in September :D
