Have been missing in action for a wee while now - mega busy with work alternated with being poorly and off sick - as a consequence I have no idea what day it is never mind whether I have spent any money or not this month - I know there is none left in the bank :( but that is down to dh as well. Good news is that he has finally got himself a job - although he hasn't sorted out terms and conditions yet I'm sure they will pay him something !

Am going to start again in August as I am sooooooooooooo busy, tired and confused I need a wee break from real life till school finishes (and a looming ofsted is not helping!)
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000

This is what I'm struggling with - the overtime generally comes about because we're short staffed, or because emergencies have come in, and I just can't seem to say no - partly because the money is very much appreciated, but also because I don't want to leave them in the lurch. I just need to prioritise my small amount of free time better I think :)

Just remember katenut, if you wear yourself out by working too hard and not taking care of yourself, You'll be one of those off and causing a staff shortage... Take care of yourself

Good news about the Hubbies job, bad news about ofsted, can't think of a worse time of year to have one, I think that comes under cruel and unusual punishment Dora.

    Hi katenut
I agree 100% with moneypenny. What you're saying above was me 4 years ago - working all the hours under the sun and getting very stressed (and ill) in the process.

You need some time to yourself to wind down and recharge your batteries - putting it bluntly, there's no point in having paid off all your debts if you're too ill to enjoy being debt-free at the end of it.

Try to get some time for you during the week, maybe turn down one bit of overtime a week and have that time for you otherwise you'll be one of the ones off sick.

    Take care

    ((hugs))
