Eeeks not sure what happened to July, I totally failed to register when I had NSD's. Although I do have the receipts still as I was going to write them all in my budget book - think that will be today's list. So until I have caught up I shall just put myself down for 4 NSD's - I'm sure it's more but I don't know until I have written up the budget book.

Webitha I'm so sorry about DDog, *hugs* honey. The pain will ease gradually, honest.

l_lovers.gifl_lovers.gifHugs to everyone else, hope you are all doing well with your NSD's but if you aren't then take heart, you are in the right place :)

Well, yesterday was all lined up to be another NSD, but then we realised we didn't have any food in. So OH said he would treat me to a takeaway, but didn't have any money and felt too poorly to go to cash point.
So I spent money on takeaway, although he said he will give it back to me. But I'll class it as a Spend Day.
Finally, debt free for the first time since I was 18!:D

I had the same sort of reaction when I found out that the 3 x 2l bottles of diet coke which are my treat each week had gone up from £3 to £4 for 3 bottles JUST ONE WEEK :eek::eek: I wonder if that is in readiness for the hot weather. Me a cynic!!!!! nah
Glad to see you're able to start running again Moneypenny, not sure if it helps anyone but I used to guzzle loads of pepsi max and stopped when it got to be a really silly price, recently after a tip from off the GC thread I started buying Al*i's "Cola Zero Sugar" and it's not half bad, a little sweet tasting but its a more than passable substitute and saves loads of money, may be worth a try?
You can't do everything, Kate, none of us can. Deciding the priorities is sometimes difficult though, and it's even more difficult when it's you right in the middle.
Totally agree with Spoon, this is a lesson I've been very slow to learn but I'm getting there, first thing to do is learn the word NO, then learn how to say it more often. Half my problems are caused by not wanting to let people down and taking on more than I have time for, then I make myself stressed out and start working until 3am to get deadlines done and get up again at 6am and before that's a fast way to a whole mess of problems. I also noticed (took DH to point it out though) that while I was achieving targets and sorting other things out for other people. I was getting buzzer all done for myself. So Kate today's mantra is Say No, Say No, Say No, the more you say it to yourself, the easier it is to say it to others.

My sympathies Webitha, it's almost 6 weeks since I had my little Pye PTS and it still hurts, but as the wonderfully supportive people said on here at the time I know I did the right thing just as you did. Although for the first few weeks I tortured myself with the 'what ifs', in my heart I know I did what my little boy needed just as you have done. Do whatever you need to comfort yourself, it's going to take a long time to get over it, wish I could be more help, you never get over them, but the pain does get easier to bare.

Webitha I am so sorry, we lost our dearly loved dog nearly three years ago and I can still howl at the drop of a hat. You have done the right thing and you have been very brave, what you did was an act of love. and I know how difficult it is.

Time will help, make a wee place (we buried his ashes under a tree where he liked to sunbathe) and go there occasionally, it helps a bit. and the other thing I advise (and it is controversial) is wait a couple of months and get another wee person from a rescue centre. Its good for you and its great for your rescue dog as you are obviously a doggy person. First instinct is never again, but its part of the price of having a dog and really it does help. and you will miss having a dog, it leaves a hole in your life that needs filling.

Right am howling again here, take care and don't be afraid to have a howl, it helps

Thanks for the thought Herbie, I only drink caffine free cola as I find the normal stuff makes me too hyper. The Tesco one is okish, the Sainsbury one is yuk. Can't find any others though, so in the spirit of the treat I go with the brand name one. Also I don't have a nearby Aldi, only a Lidl...

OMG! I feel your pain BDINI - that happened to me a couple of years ago when I got Sky installed and the guys tramped wet, muddy boots all over my living room carpet. When I asked them to take their boots off they said they couldnt cos of health and safety - I said "yours or mine, cos Im not gonna be responsible for my actions!"

Love it Jinty, did they take their boots off? Or did they die with their boots on lol

Webitha, sorry about your dog, big hugs
