Webitha - sorry about your dog. I haven't been in that situation (yet) but not looking forward to it. Sending you lots of
Spoon, I found out what the cheque was for - £27 for DDs new PE kit for her new High School , and that doesn't include shin pads, trainers (indoor, outdoor and astro turf ), gum shield (karate one will have to do) and numerous other bits and bobs which I'm working my way through. Don't you just hate it when they ask for certain items which are 'complusory' and you can only get them from the school. Also had to pay out for a transparent pencil case for exams (she won't be taking any for at least two years ) and a blazer and tie.
At least the boys won't be changing school but I must admit I am a bit MSE with them. I have been known in the past to go through the lost property at the end of term and take (only two!) school jumpers which did not have names on them and were never going to be claimed!
No NSD today (cheque as mentioned above coming out of account) but TCB are paying me this month's requested cashback tomorrow:T

Aw Webitha, really sorry to hear about your dog, I know how much that hurts. I work in a vets and I am grateful every day that we have the option of relieving animals of their suffering, it doesn't make it any easier though, and even after ten years doing my job it still brings a tear to my eye every time.
In fact today I hit a tiny rabbit with my car, had to stop and pick it up and take it to put it out of its suffering because the thought if it dying slowly in the rain was more than I could bear.
On a more cheery note its raining buckets here!! Never thought I'd be so happy to see the rain, at least I wont have to spend half an hour watering the garden tonight. Can't wait to get home and see if my new waterbutt has any water in!
Thanks for you all for cheering me up last night, feeling much better todayand working on saying No!
Today should be a NSD but will report back later - have eaten all my lunch and don't know if my tummy will hold out until I get home! Off on a biscuit hunt, see you all later!Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Thanks for kind words Spoon & BigMumma. Step-dad is doing great, off of intensive care today, lots of lines out and no pacemaker or oxygen. It was such a horrible, scary week.
BigMumma, I hope you're feeling better now? I'm very behind with the posts. Thats a good point about not counting the hospital parking spends, I know for definate that that was my only spend last Sunday so I'm going to claim that as number 3:) as for the other days though, I've no idea as it was a case of picking bits up for Mum, grabbing food and bits wherevever.
So that makes yesterday NSD number 4!! Fingers crossed today should be no. 5. I'll be back later to report it0 -

Hi all, just a quick catch up - stuck to my small spend this morning as planned.
Went to Farmf**ds for milk and they were giving away, yes, giving away bread which was still in date, so I got 4 loaves, 4 ltrs of milk , 4 cans of 7up and a bag of peas for £3.50 - not bad eh?:D
Just needed cat food - went to Mr A, and got myself a whoopsied bunch of flowers - was £8 - paid £3.50, quite chuffed with myself! I do love a flower;)
