I've printed your advice out and stuck it on my fridge. For me, it's about preparation.
Like if I work late, get home late, don't have time to make lunch for the next day, sleep late, don't have time to make breakfast and buy a coffee and a croissant in Nero instead.
Or if I'm out somewhere, and forget to fill up a bottle with tap water before I go, then I'm dying of thirst and give in to a 50p bottle.
Just really want to stay focused this week and hit my target. Only 3 more to go. Unlikely to get them next weekend as I'm at a conference for work and I'll have to spend, on coffee, drinks etc, though I can claim it back. So I HAVE to do it this week. I must. And I WILL! :rotfl:
Hi smilerwoman:wave:
Glad you found Mainyasha's post useful, I hoped you would.
It is definitely all about being organised and thinking ahead, sometimes it takes a while to get into that mindset - don't be too hard on yourself, you're doing really well so far.
Re the work spends, I really wouldn't count those as spendy days at all - you'll be getting the money back and they are essential spends really, not much choice about them. Most people on here don't class work spends as spends, so you're not doing anything different. Have a think about it anyway, just wanted to mention it to you.
Had a quick look at your diary earlier, looks good:T

Smiler it has taken me ages to actually get out of the type of things you are talking about, it does take time but getting an idea of where things are tripping you up is a great start :T I have found leaving my cards and purse at home has helped too, it makes me remember that thing like a bottle of tapwaterLike Spoon said though if you can claim the stuff back don't count it as spends xx
Ouch on the fish and chips TVM :eek:It hasn't been a NSD today as we've been buying bits and pieces for the cottage
Well for me the purse was left at home again which was good as it is always so tempting after payday (mmmmmmmmmm fish and chips :rotfl:) which has given me number 17 :j:j
So big thanks to all xxx
See you soon

Didn't go anywhere but my mums today so no spending (was tempted by the Av0n book though). NSD 14 now :T.
Will have to wait till next week to get my puddy cat though as it's grocery shopping tomorrow and I need a new printer as my current one is now kaput. Determined to reach my target this month after missing out on my pony last time around
Monday is looking good to reach my target as I have INSET training 9am to 4pm followed by a staff meeting till 5pm (yeah right, never known them to finish on time!) and won't be a..ed to go to any sort of shop after that!
Well done everyone who is hitting their targets and reducing their debts. I had a look at your diary too Smilerwoman. Keep going, you'll get there
Hope everyone's having a good weekend!Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

ok, ok, bad Georgie! <insert red faced smiley> I should have posted yesterday and didn't.
Friday was a disaster! I fell into the bus and broke my shoe... the only thing I could think of to say was 'well that was an entrance'!
So had to buy £20 pair of shoes! Woke up late anyway so bought lunch at work! But I did have dinner with friends and watch the latest twlight movie at the cinema, so the day ended better.
Normal spends for a saturday so today wasn't an NSD either. Sunday WILL be, cos I'm telling myself so!;)
I should still make my second target but it might be tight!
Night all
