Slowlyfading - great news about the cottage!
Not so good news today - washer dryer FUBARd (well, the dryer part of it). It is a top of the range Miele that we have had for nearly 11 years! Little man coming out next week to look at it, will probably cost about £200 to fix, but when you consider a new one of similar spec will be about £800-£900 then it puts it into persepctive. It is a really good reliable machine, this is only the 2nd time it has gone wrong in eleven years, so well worth the initial investment all those years ago. Looking in Tesco catalogue for ideas, an Indesit starts at around £360 and a Hoover just over £500, and no guarantee as to how long they would last. Doubt if either of those would last 11 years, anyway. So, a big spend coming up next week, but an essential one.One life - your life - live it!0 -
NO 8 in the bag, only 2 more to go. I'm away this weekend so both days will be spending but fingers crossed for next week. I migth even go over target!0

A NSD yesterday but not today - I might make my target this month after all0

Back to the starting blocks I think - car broke down the other night and now we are £280 worse off and tax is due at end of month too. Have now got no holiday spends at all so looking for a big long list of free things to do with my two monsters over the holidays!
Am going to try and rack up the nsd's over summer out of necessity as well as choiceMortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000
Savings for big things £90170 -
And another NSD for the family - this one is rather remarkable because I battled temptation on the train. Chocolate - and was going to seccumb but fortunately there were no Minstrels. All there was were Mars bars and I eat those only at the end of a marathon.
So, today we did our number twelve.
