    Morning everyone! :hello:

Thank you jintyb, Spoon and kathy40uk, I am feeling much better today, all aches and pains gone (in time for work!)

Well done katholicos and candyapple! Four more to go and I will be joining you as a kitty owner, I hope!! :D

So, last night I made Bircher muesli, you have to leave it overnight to soak up all the stuff and then hubby and I had it this morning - IT WAS YUM!!! Hubby really liked it too (I was worried he wouldn't) and there's enough for tomorrow morning as well! It's a nice alternative and I think I would have it in the winter time too, but heat it up.

Oh and I forgot to say, we sold our car at the weekend! It was an (almost) 20 year old Audi and although it passed its MOT in May, we think it was lucky to pass and it needed a LOT done to it, so we decided it was best to sell it before we had to spend loads on it! It only cost us £500 to begin with (2 years ago) and we have already spent a fair bit on new tyres, etc. So we whacked it on Gumtr3e and got £300 for it - result! It was picked up on Saturday afternoon :D

Okay, better get back to work now....oh and help yourselves to some home baked Florentines :p

    Jo :)

A late declaration from me - Saturday I managed another NSD so up to 6 I think ?

Failed sunday as I had to nip out for a few groceries, although less than a tenner spent.
Hoping not to spend anything today.

    Welcome back slowly

I'm going to declare a nsd today, not going out till later and my gentleman friend will be doing the honours. Jumping on a boat and going down the Thames.

Thanks to everyone that has commented on the job situation. Yes it was a morale boost. Especially when I got the email saying they were sad that I'd decided to turn it down. Mind you the amount of friends who have said to me that they are glad I'm staying. Makes a girl feel good.

well done for selling the car Jo - great result

Spoony, thanks as always for all the work you do on here, You're amazing

Thanks MoneyPenny :) I'm pleased too. You will have to tell me what you think of the Thames boat trip - I have been in London for nearly 3 years and haven't got round to going on one....Mum is over in August though so might be a good excuse! Let me know how it goes.....

Don't whatever you do do the tourist boats. I'm going on the thames clipper service which is the commuter boats which run from Woolwich Arsenal up to Westminister, much cheaper and you see just as much if not even more. http://www.thamesclippers.com/ As I live directly on the opposite side of the Thames and can see the jetty from my living room window I should go on them more often but invariably only go with friends or visitors.

Oh thank you MoneyPenny! I would never have thought of that and probably paid out a fortune! So could I use my Oyster card on the Clipper service?

It gets you a discount but doesn't cover full cost of fare. http://www.thamesclippers.com/routes-times-prices-booking/timetables-prices.html

They sell hot and cold drinks and snacks on the service too but at £1 for a can of coke I'd take my own if you can. You don't get a commentary but take a guidebook and you'll have a great time, plus you can get off and on all day on some of the fares.
