Jo, I hadn't heard of Bircher muesli so googled and I had tried it before but under Jamie Oliver's 'pukkola' recipe and I don't know what I did wrong but it was awful, had a nasty thick consistency and no taste at all, I think I tried 5 spoonfuls and had to throw it away. :( However I will kindly take one of your Florentines to mask the memory of that taste in my mouth. *shudders* smiley-eatdrink022.gif

Candyapple, that's really funny - I had also tried Bircher muesli before as well, and I didn't like it because it was made with apple juice poured over it rather than milk/cream. I don't mind apple juice normally but not on my breakfast cereal :rotfl: Mind you, mine did also have a very thick consistency - so still not sure you would like it! Haven't seen the Jamie Oliver recipe....must Go0gle it too.

I actually got the recipe from one of my favourite novels - one of the main characters tells her sister the recipe and I thought it sounded really nice and finally got round to making it last night (I have had my favourite book for approximately 4 years!!)

Quite a spendy day...including a £102 Tesco delivery ! It does include a year's worth of filters for my Brita jug (couldn't find them cheaper online)..not sure whther to include them all in this month's challenge. I use one a month, so perhaps I should include the cost of on per month...will think about it, actually, no, I will include the full amount this month. I can see lots of things being "carried over" if I start this...and I will get terribly confused!!

Good bit of news too...I work at a computer training centre, and I am back being a student again...catching up with the changes that come with Office 2007...may as well get (another :o) qualification under my belt while I do so! I was all prepared to buy the next units books today, and was told that as staff...I don't need to pay!! :j This is news to me as I have bought all my previous books in the past. Still, not complaining! Also got the result of my first unit (Access)...and I got a Distinction :j...really pleased as I did one bit wrong, though I only lost one mark for it.

Off to bed soon...really tired today. Plan on having NSDs for most of the rest of the week. Will get our first organinc veg box of the year on Wednesday...so will write the cheque tonight and put it in an envelope...(pay a month in advance)...thus making more NSDs this week (I hope)!! :D

    Night Night all.
