It gets you a discount but doesn't cover full cost of fare. http://www.thamesclippers.com/routes-times-prices-booking/timetables-prices.html

They sell hot and cold drinks and snacks on the service too but at £1 for a can of coke I'd take my own if you can. You don't get a commentary but take a guidebook and you'll have a great time, plus you can get off and on all day on some of the fares.

Brill! Oh thank you  MoneyPenny! I think maybe we could make a wee daytrip of it and bring along a packed lunch :j yay! Can't wait! Have fun tonight xo

Good move, get off at Greenwich and walk up the road to Greenwich Park, just a few mins away, you can sit and eat with each other on different sides of the thingy line....

    Rats!

    Rats rats rats rats rats!

Should have been a NSD but blasted car got a blasted puncture in the blasted front tyre so that was £62 gone, just like that! So I thought sod this for a game of soldiers and went shopping.

On the bright side, my car now has four tyres that are all brand new this year so should not need replacing for a while. I also bought some reduced price strawberries and cheap vodka which are now in a Kilner jar festering away on my kitchen windowsill - strawberry vodka in the making! And 2 lots of cutprice rhubarb. One lot is chopped up in the freezer, to become a pie, fool or crumble at a later date. The other found its way in the microwave with an equal quantity of sugar, grated fresh root ginger and a lemon, and is now in 2 jars - rhubarb and ginger compote.

Tomorrow the Ringtons tea man calls, but I have already set that cash aside for him, so can I count tomorrow as a NSD? If I don't spend anything of course!

Thanks Spoon for my dancing kitty, loving it!

Jo, I hadn't heard of Bircher muesli so googled and I had tried it before but under Jamie Oliver's 'pukkola' recipe and I don't know what I did wrong but it was awful, had a nasty thick consistency and no taste at all, I think I tried 5 spoonfuls and had to throw it away. :( However I will kindly take one of your Florentines to mask the memory of that taste in my mouth. *shudders* smiley-eatdrink022.gif

NSD 11 for me today! :T Will try for another 3 this month, just to keep me going, I was going to say 5 but I think that might be a little ambitious as Friday is payday! :Dsmiley-excited001.gif
